    Jagger has been doing this for decades. Rubbing shoulders with the rich,royalty and whatever,and still he's just a rock and roller and does it all with a wry smile and humor!!

    His ability to socialize was certainly a big help at this occasion, where most people he met were kinda drunk and / or superficial. Talking with Elton John, about what he's passionate about, was clearly the most rewarding thing. Luckily you can have conversations like that everywhere.

    Love Mick Jagger. The girls just throw their glasses at him and he holds them while they are in their handbags. A true gentleman. Speaks to everyone, including the actors at the party.. Legend.

      He sure knows how to suck up and look good in public, he starts off telling Elton how good the Madonna concert was, Elton fires back it was so so, Mick back peddles and agrees with Elton saying how it could have been so much better.
      So he's basically just trying to please everyone including the guests and the viewers, different story without the cameras

      When Mick says he loved Madonna’s performance then Elton disagreed and Mick immediately changed his mind…It kind of reminds me of that scene in Father Ted where the cool priest asks Dougal if he prefers Oasis or Blur and Dougal says Oasis. Then when the cool priest disagrees Dougal immediately says ‘I mean Blur’

      I like the way then 58 year old Jagger and host John talk " shop " about the great Madonna's latest performance concert. Just a couple otherwise ordinary blokes but who excel in their field critiquing a fellow artist's latest presentation. Fascinating in a way.

    Mick just cracks me up. If he had his own TV comedy reality show, I'd tune in weekly, just to find out what craziness he's stir up this week. I love his music, but love his sense of humor probably more. (He's just a tad mad, and I love it).

    Mick starts off saying how great the Madonna concert was, as soon as Elton says it was so so, Mick back peddles to appease Elton and agrees it wasn't really that good.
    Mick likes to sit on the fence and not upset anyone, so we've no idea what he's really like.
    Elton on the other hands very much says what he wants

      Mick is a real pro. He's done this for a long time. He is all smiles, jokes, pats on the back, nods, winks, good nature...without giving anything away at all. He's like that with nearly all interviews as well...you can't get beneath that seemingly good-natured co-operative exterior. It's all bland, non-committal answers. Whereas Keef is much more heart on the sleeve.

    I really am glad that Mick and Keith did right by the Verve "Bittersweet Symphony" song. Giving it all back to the dude in the Verve. It's all he has and it was cool of them to do what they did. It shows that musicians can be about the music.

      At 1:43 you can see one of the things celebrities are masters at. You can see Mick instantly sensing someone is approaching him. I've seen many celebs that are incredibly aware of their surroundings and know if someone is behind them.

      Even the press! That lady asking about his suit was really just her trying to get a photo op, probably for an article. Or maybe just for her personal benefit. But regardless, instead of being tacky or abrasive like most press asking for a pic, she walks up and asks him a specific question while complimenting his suit.
      Now she has an awesome pic of her chatting with Mick, some insight on what he was wearing, and more than enough for an article about the experience. Or just a simple memory. Either way, it was done with class. As only a member of British high society would.

    I grew up in the village where Elton lives. It's fun to see the village at the start of the video when Mick is in the car. I never once saw Elton though.

      Sometimes I agree with him and other times it just comes off as snobby and jealousy and it’s sad because he has such a great career but any time he gets he’s always putting another artist down I remember when he was saying these rude things about madonna at the oscars or Grammys and about how she doesn’t stand a chance and she ended up beating him for best original song that night

    Elton's estate looks fantastic...It looks like Mick had a great time...It's nice to see, that, a superstar, particularly, one of his status, doesn't take himself too seriously...So many lesser known and lesser accomplished celebrities, today, take themselves way too seriously...It would've been great to have seen John "Johnny Rotten" Lydon there...That would've really taken Elton's party to another level.

    Nice to get a glimpse of their private personal lives. Mick is a social icon and a huge figure from the Sixties. Nice to see he survived the mayhem of those times and is still a fun nice guy.

    1:28 This moment is so meta, I’m not sure what year this was in but if it was around the time the verve had released ‘bitter sweet symphony’, this obviously was to spark some controversy from Jagger, but he seems unfazed and sounding like he’s grinning, just shrugging it off, classic Mick

    I saw this entire film when it premiered on TV. It was excellent. It was broadcast to coincide with the release of his 2nd solo album. Which I bought and I thought it was excellent. Didn't sell well from what I heard but I think that was from lack of publicity not quality. His first solo album was excellent also.
