These warm ups are amazing, made me feel like I already did a few sets on my first warmup set. I know you sell the shoulderok for this purpose, but a bench press warmup video would he awesome if there are other movements you do to get all those important muscles firing.
I've added the banded overhead squat for shoulder positioning that you showed on "build a perfect beast" video or the squatting vid you did with silent mike. So for me it will be a 5 step. Thanks for the excellent information you put out. If I had found you before I hurt my hip I never would have needed Kelly Starrett to fix myself!!
between this and the video of you running silent mikke through a squat routine its helped me get comfortable under the bar again! I am going to figure a way to down to a seminar you put on from here in canada on day!
great vid Chris, hope you can make a vid in the future talking about disc hernias and back problems related to weightlifting and how to aproach. Thanks for uploading this kind of content!
***** Thank you for this warm up sequence. I have been doing it for a week now and it has helped a lot getting my glutes activated. I knew I was having an issue with my left hip flexor on squats, and this has certainly been helping.
Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing these amazing warm ups! Please add more videos about these kind of movements and, also about how we can avoid knee injuries! #yourbeard looks coooool!
This is great, I will be adding this to my warmup! I have the same thing going on as Mark - hard to balance myself and the hip region just seems all around tight. Any other things you would recommend or would just becoming better at the split squat kind of improve these things?
Hey Chris, Do you have anything like this for bench? I started to do this warm up since i saw it on super training video and it made a major difference in how my body responded. Would love a bench warm up video!
Wow.. It's amazing how proven athletes like Mike and Mark are so dysfunctional outside of the movements they normally perform. Looks like old times strong men addressed all the things that are lost in the modern powerlifting culture.
good info Chris. i have to add the side to sides and the airplanes. i've been straining my groin and hamstring lately, i do proper warmup, getting my lower parts primed to squat and dead lift, but it just randomly happens. any insight of what could be causing it?
Hey duffin can you please explain or make a video about pulling the slack out of the bar and how low to sit your hips in before pulling ? I'm used to jerking the bar vigorously off the floor but my elbows and shoulders are dying to I'm switching to a stiff arm and pulling the slack but I feel its a lot slower off the ground and a bit harder , what should I do ?
charlie0131 thanks man , its hard because I was getting used to ripping the weight off the floor quicker without jerking it gets slow and feels heavier :/
set your core and back, bend foreard by hinging at the hip then bend your knees til you are at the bar, then add tension so you are tight and pulling on the bar sitting back a little bit, then drive up by pressing the ground away from you.
Could some1 be kind enough and reply me with the routine (and how much sets/reps/minutes) because my internet connection is terribad and I can't properly watch the video :( Thanks in advance!

Definitely need a video like this for upper body!
Yes !!! My legs felt so pump after this!
Started doing this last week and it works wonders! Thanks for more great info Coach Duffin!
I've used these before squats and deads for the past 2 weeks. Thanks Chris.

Used this week and discovered imbalances and was able to feel ready for my squats, making the movement much safer

i did something similar today, but the important thing is to warm up your legs and joints from various angles.

I love this movement set and have been doing it as my warmup on lower body days. What do you do for Bench or shoulder warmup?
Wow.. It's amazing how proven athletes like Mike and Mark are so dysfunctional outside of the movements they normally perform. Looks like old times strong men addressed all the things that are lost in the modern powerlifting culture.
GreatWhiteNiko yeap

Never jerk in a deadlift, brace your core control your breathing. Your arms should only be hooks for the weight.
charlie0131 Are you reading this Dan Green
