Hard to say for sure, but I think the Mafex softgoods may be far superior. This cape looks hard to work with - does it have limited wires? Maybe just in the hood?
I was gonna comment the same thing, this cloak looks absolutely horrible compared to the Mafex one, what was figuarts thinking not adding a wire on the sides?
The likeness to Dawson looks better on the s.h figuarts compared to the mafex. But the cloth poncho looks why better on the mafex than it does on the s.h figuarts. I think It's a toss up on which is better because I think they both have positives & negatives.
Good job for Bandai, but I prefer the mafex version ( I have it) because its sculpt it's better, though the colour of the skin is more correct in bandai version. On mafex it's too strong orange. Besides, soft goods are better in Mafex version

Just two suggestions: 1) When checking the figure's articulation, the best way to show the butterfly joints is by crossing the extended arms in front of the chest to see how far they reach. 2) You need to take close-up shots of the figure; at the current distance of your video camera, the fine sculpting details aren't visible.
