3:30 it's not as accurate as the Mafex. Take a look at an HD image of the Mafex figure, and you'll notice the pants on the Mafex have the correct pattern on them, where as the SHF just has a generic fabric texture. In addition, the Mafex has accurate weathering on the gauntlets and shin guards. Lastly, the Mafex poncho is much better than the SHF's. None of these are a deal breaker as the SHF has FAR AND AWAY the better faces and headsculpt and skintone. How do I know all of this? Because I'm a dummy and bought both! P.S. Their heads have the exact same size pegs, so headswaps between them are very easy. The skintones don't match, but it's only an issue with the poncho off. I currently have the SHF head sitting on the Mafex body, and it looks amazing. :)
The poncho that comes with the mafex is SOOO much better, fully wired all the way through, and the knees aren't over engineered to a ridiculous level lol. Also personally i prefer mafex plastic quality, feeling more dense and solid vs shf's feeling light, hollow and just having that " plasticy" feeling. I'd say even tho the faces are better on the shf the mafex is still an overall better figure and definitely a better experience imo
Great review! I feel like SHF just doesn't do soft goods well. But with all of the 3rd party soft good cape/cloak makers I'm sure there is a good cloak to pair with her.
Dope Review EightySixed! As much as Black Series cranks out all different types of characters, they are severely lacking in accessories. ALL force wielders should come with AT LEAST an extra pair of hands to show that. Might have to scoop this one up!
I had to matte finish all the orange parts on mine. Tamashi forgot on my copy, I guess... 😅 All in all, she's pretty great, "aestheticly speaking." But, I also got a bunch of tight joints on mine that required some oil. Guess I got the runt of the litter or something, lol.
