The engine sound thing really helps, once I thought I could surprise an enemy thinking it was just him, I couldn’t be more wrong, after I shot him and failed to destroy him, 2 more tanks showed up and I ended up dying to them
I have tried to get better for like a year now, and I always end up back in my hanger with 1 or 2 kills. I get into a good spot overlooking the point, and then no enemies ever show up. So I decide to push up to actually be useful to my team, and see an enemy tank looking the other way. As I’m lining up my shot, a bf109 out of no where shoots my crew and kills me. I was in an m18 so I had an open top and died immediately. This sums up my experience playing the game. This happens every time I try to get into ground rb. I do bad, I say “it’s bc I suck” and I try again and be more careful and then it just happens again and again and again until I get fed the fuck up and just stop playing ground rb. I’m at this point where I wanna only play planes bc it’s the only thing I’m good at I guess. It just sucks bc I feel like I’m missing out on the main game mode of the game. I want to be good at tanks. I want to use my many many airplanes I’ve u locked to their full potential. But it’s just like every time I try the game says fuck you and sends me back to the hangar. It’s so demoralizing and made me realize that ground rb is just not fun. It’s sweaty, cheap, annoying bullshit.

Thank you so much for the engine sound tip!! I connected my headphones to listen for engines, and sure enough, I got three kills on tanks I wouldn’t have normally known were there

Thanks a lot for your input, my friend. Don't worry, I got plenty of topics already ready to be worked on, thanks for your ideas though, I'll take note of this !
I have to confess I am quite tempted to follow your advice about turning down my own tanks sound. But I am hesitating because I am a little adamant on realism and a soundless tank is highly unlikely. Yes I even put realism before gameplay, even if it means less scores.
The M60 Rise is tricky because it basically got powercrept into oblivion. Try to never wander alone and stay with your team. And for the love of God, start aiming at weakpoints, especially against Russian tanks because they start to have really good armour.
@@barkacarthago5536 I dont like when people pretty much take away some of the fun they can have in a a game for the sake of being ,,competitive" (like settings the graphics to the lowest possible). I definetly use the sound in the game and its very helpful, but I wont turn dowm the volume of my engine, i still want to have some immersion.
Can someone tells me where is the fun in camping ? This is waste of time, and that's barely untertainment for campers. Why you're bad = because you are not a camper. This video shall be renamed "Why Warthunder is bad".

You need to bring more than one tank to a match

These are awsome. I posted them in our clan Discord....thanks brother.

3:51 how'd you know it was safe to possibly expose yourself to so many enemy tanks in the open? If I did that, I'd get killed most of the time.
No engine cues. There could have been someone farther but the USH is so small I was very hard to see. It was a bit of a calculated risk.

Tinnitus volume 100 haha.
What does this setting do?
@@franzferdinand9093 whenever you get destroyed you will hear a really high pitch sound, so increasing the thing to a 100 is not a good idea.

Good video, .... good video series....
nice tbh it helped me a lot which is why i hated tanks because i can't hear thier engine sound
Glad I helped :)
Small channel has some serious potential...
Thanks a lot, mate :)
Thanks master
Great series. Keep it up.
lol, i actually play RUclips videos or music while grinding in GRB and ARB, bout time this habit gets called out.
Is there a reason you picked 5.1 and not 7.1?
Because at the time, my headset couldn't handle 7.1, but obviously, go for the best sound you can get !

Do you guys have tips on how to play the M60A1 RISE?
The M60 Rise is tricky because it basically got powercrept into oblivion. Try to never wander alone and stay with your team. And for the love of God, start aiming at weakpoints, especially against Russian tanks because they start to have really good armour.
Why 5.1 and not 7.1?
At the time of writing and recording this guide, 7.1 surround was horribly bugged. Haven't tested it yet
Ah okay, thank you! @@barkacarthago5536
This game is so vague. All I know after 20+ games is that planes fucking suck and:
ARTILLERY FIRE
Arty can be tough, especially in low tiers, and planes will be your worst nightmare when you get to high tier :D
you sound like Kraut, like the youtuber
i have no idea, sometimes im amazing at war thunder, and then im shit, its rigged like wot
Just gotta tame the beast! Sometimes luck is just why you died but generally you can avoid death just by being careful and meticulous
Maybe, but come on i have 1k hours in this game, i think im just ya know bad
what tank are you playing with ?
Sorry I didn't understand your question
i have over 1000 hours in war thunder (i hate this game with a burning passion)
are you French?????
