That's a lot of work putting chicken wire in just for a raccoon or opossum to chew through it. I know you have welded wire behind it but that wire does little to protect chickens. I use hardware cloth. It is more expensive but they are not getting by it. Love the videos!
Are skunks bad for the property? I have a white one and a black one appear on camera almost every week. I enjoy seeing them but have never thought about any damage they may do.

We have hardware cloth around the main run. This is more so to keep chickens in.

You might have to dethatch in the spring. But these areas are really bare.

Hey Doc, To catch Racoons use marsh mellows as bait.
We use peanut butter because it handles the rain well. Them dry dog food around it

No skunks are fine. We don’t try and catch them.
