🎉Going a new direction can be scary. I’m not sure how you all will feel so let me know below. I’d love to pick your brains on how you see this going and topics you’d be interested in. ❤-Ash
I'm super interested in supporting one another by talking about the hard things, talking about cultures and how people live in other countries, and talking about your life and just keeping in touch with you through it all. I know that being vulnerable in such a public setting is difficult, because the internet can be cruel, man. So cruel! But I love that you're willing to do what not many others are doing by just being YOU and being REAL. I honestly think we, as people, need that kind of transparency and connectivity to each other. Whatever you decide to do with your channel, or your IG...or whatever... I am here for it! Please do what makes your heart happy and your Internet friends will support you along the way ❤
Ash…you have such a warm and joyful temperament. You’ve faced difficult challenges with optimism and hope. That’s an incredible gift. Continue to share your bright spirit and we will happily cheer you on.
Ash, your emotional strength and resilience are an inspiration for all of us! Thank you for your 1000 watt smile, it can light up any room, no matter how dark it may appear.
Ash let me be totally honest, when I first found your channel it was through the unique nature of your divorce. To my shame I subscribed and watched your videos out of a morbid curiosity of what you had been through. But as time progressed and I watched more videos, it became illuminated to me that you were a real person who asked honest questions of the world and I felt ashamed for viewing you only as an attachment to one event in your life. Your honesty and straightforward interactions on your videos changed my entire perspective and when I tune into your videos now its because I need to be refreshed by the experience of seeing someone trying their best to be honest about this strange shared experience we call life. Very excited to see your channel go in this new direction, I think the world desperately needs a dose of honesty and vulnerability in a world were we all wear so many masks, both physical and digital.
Wow, that was very honest and vulnerable. Your curiosity to hear her story is common. Don’t feel too bad about that….it was the avenue that kept you interested and now you have seen or gotten to know the lady behind the scars. She is worth knowing. It’s hard to share your deepest hurts on social media because there are so many out there that enjoy hurting others more while they are down and don’t care about the added pain they cause. Ashley is risking sharing her life publicly because she wants truth spoken over others choosing pain in silence and isolation. It is an honorable undertaking. Sounds like you are in it to hear more and see other people’s hearts as well.
Im 65 Sweet Girl. Life will take you in many directions. Being open to those changes allows you to navigate whatever life gives you. This is going to be wonderfully interesting.
Sounds like a plan, Ash. Going from a travel journey to a journey through life's obstacles that come in all forms, should find you a wider audience. Best wishes with the change of direction.
You are breaking ground for both yourself and others. Bravo! Ashley, I’m 58 and God has brought me through dark days. As I reflect on the past, I praise him as he rescued me through the pain and on to the most amazing incredible happy peaceful life I have today! Thank you we are excited for this new chapter with you! ~Cara ❤❤❤
It's your channel, so create content about whatever inspires and excites you! Your true fans are here to see whatever it is you want to share with us!💖 Wishing you all the best!
I've said this before to you. Don't ever change. It's very inspiring to see someone go through stuff and still have that spark of joy you bring to others. I personally think that those who go through hard challenges are the ones who offer the most insight. And without me blowing your trumpet for you too much, I see you as someone who has a lot of inspiration and insight through your own experiences, to offer others. something so valuable. Stay grounded & good luck with your own future as well as what you hope to inspire in others. You're a diamond in the rough Ash. ❤️
So true. We all go through unexpected curveball. Society expects us to 'soldier on ' and not everybody reacts in the same way. Some people are unable to see a way forward and it takes them time to begin recovery. I am 60 and I feel that I have experienced life in all it's fullness, good and bad. I think you're going in the right direction Ash. Your experiences have made you who you are today and, from where I'm sitting, that gives you a unique perspective. ❤❤
Thank you so much for this Ash❤️ I needed this video so much! I will definitely be writing to you about my story🙏🏻 Thanks for always being awesome and being there for everyone❤️ You are an amazing person❤️
I so appreciate your open hearted honesty Ashley. Your vulnerability I can see is a struggle for you & yet I know that it will set you free. Be happy 😊 x
Hey! Congrats on the clarity for your channel. I also think that the fact that you are working a normal job makes you more relatable than some of the, say, high profile RUclipsrs who are buying, building/renovating houses off their full-time RUclips income (and do not need a regular job), or just able to travel all the time. I am happy for them but that kind of lifestyle is just not accessible to most ppl. Thanks for shedding light on sensitive topics in order to help others
I have followed you Ashley since the Way Away travel videos. I am so happy to see you move forward with your life and continue to travel and see the world. I am excited that you got a full-time job with the airline industry. I look forward to seeing what you do next and where your channel is going. I agree that we all have difficulty and struggles in our lives, and we need to be there for each other. ❤
Ash I'm excited to see where this channel grows to. The reason I subscribed to The Way Away and this channel sure was the places that you were showing. But more so it was you and the way you presented things. Looking forward to the new direction 😊
As a longtime viewer, I've really enjoyed your content, especially your travel videos. This is a nice concept, but there are so many established RUclips channels and podcasts that share stories from individuals who have gone through tough situations - abuse, mental health issues, loss, depression, divorce, etc. What will make your channel unique and different from all the others?
Ashley I love your honest and brave personality- it helps so many people and we love following your journey 🥰 side bar… it’s so hard being a RUclips creator when audiences are sometimes a bit unforgiving when life changes! I literally just gave up my travel channel (pocket trailblazer) to start a new channel which is scary, starting from scratch, but like you say, it just feels right 🤩 you have got this Ashley 👏🌟 you are brilliant 🥰
Congratulations on being brave enough to discuss this topic. You will certainly help others by sharing your experience but you will also find that you help yourself to find a deeper understanding. ❤️
The plans God has for us can surprise us but sometimes they become a great blessing to others! Wanting to use your platform to provide care to the hurting is being God's hands and feet. Prayers for your journey ahead. 🙏
This is brilliant turn Ashley ❤ cannot wait to see your next videos. All of this fits like a piece in a puzzle. Also this is totally nische and makes sense for your channel
I followed you from time to time, and I always liked your calmness! I agree with you, this is why I started my own channel and wanted to share our story of how we lost our boy. Not for the views but for helpring others and saying those difficult things and also encouraging stuff! I will continue to follow you! ❤
Hi Ashley--you have a lot of courage! I will be writing you an email soon. My challenge is a bit different than others, but if I can help another person learn from my experience. so be it. Sending warm wishes!
Aww Ash it’s always good to see you. You have such a beautiful warmth to you and the way you interact. Something about you always feels homey and smiley. I think that attitude and resilience will take you far. Anything you do with this channel I’ll be happily watching and rooting for you.
Continue learning Spanish. Get as fit as possible. Tell stories of your travels using pictures/postcards, about funny or quirky experiences you had while travelling. Share your stories about things that got messed up and worked out and things that didn't work out (working on farms, etc.) Stop watching the news because I think things are way better than they used to be in the 30's (economic depression), 40's (WWII), 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. There's more awareness about discrimination against women, nationalities, religious differences, homosexuality and put corruption under more scrutiny. The internet has brought the world closer together. The media sells fear and is like a poison. There's way less hunger and poverty than there used to be too.
It’s lovely to see you constantly working to find the opportunity and light and whatever situation you find yourself in. You’re really inspiring Ash 😊 xx
I think it will be a very good thing that you share your raw and true emotions of what you went through. It's your life and you have every right to share your thoughts and feelings just like anyone else even though it is a delicate subject now a-days I think it will be great and help many others going through similar stories to hear your honest feelings through such a difficult time. Thank you!
Your videos have always been a much looked forward to part of my interests. You bring so much to all your viewers and I hope we will continue to see your adventures in life. Your new job sounds wonderful for you and I hope it works out that way. You have been through so much the last few years and seem to be holding up well. However, majar life changes do get overwhelming and can be depressing (I speak from experience.) Having a stable income, job, and family & friends to rely on really does help. Even one or two of those can help prevent life overwhelming you. I am glad you have family and friends you can lean onfor support.
Loving that you're embracing a direction that you're passionate about! Being vulnerable in a public forum is hard, and your courage and strength in sharing is inspiring 🖤
As a Boomer and English talking about our feelings and problems is just not done, we put on a brave smiling face and carry on. Our parents having just gone through a World War may have a bearing on it, stoicism is infectious.
Talk about your religion and sex. Obviously you was married and now your not, so presume as your strong religious you are now not active, how do you cope with that, how was it in your married life with him going though what he was going through would you consider a casual relationship. Its a massive part of life that's not spoken about and i find it crazy it's not spoken about, it could help a lot of people
