How would you have handled this situation if you were those police officers? In Canada police shoot when they are under attack. Someone running away while holding a knife... is that an attack? How would you handle this situation?

I did not read the description apparently they did use the taser and paper spry quite a bit there for I would have used a little more of a lethal weapon but still not a gun only if I was attacked or that was the absolute last choice I had.
They are trying to use NON lethal weapons such as pepper spray. The use of the vehicle is somewhat warranted, because IF he walks, and stabs others that could be fatal. This is one instance where I support the police. They are doing a good job. P.K.

Someone needs to design a less lethal tool that works on someone wearing winter clothing. Tasers are pretty good in Florida, not so good in Canada.

If you die, you die. Why does everyone else need to risk their life for you? I wouldn't. A cop is just a working shmuck. Don't expect them to be a hero. Would you try to tackle a guy with a knife? Of course not. That's a good way to lose an eye permanently or get permanent nerve damage to your face/hand, etc. I just don't care what happens to the criminal at that point.

They don't believe taking away someones life for a knife that's why most of our suspects survive and serve time in jail and a treated after there sentence to insure they are stable before they go back out into the public so i can say tps did a good job here not shooting him as we are trained not to shoot everyone whom is human
