- Welcome to Advent Daily! 🌟 In today’s Advent reflection, we delve into the profound wisdom of St. Alphonsus Liguori as he teaches us the necessity of mental prayer for our journey toward salvation. Discover his three compelling reasons for embracing this transformative practice:
1️⃣ Light for the Journey: Without meditation, we walk in darkness, struggling to see the path of salvation. St. Alphonsus reminds us that mental prayer illuminates eternal truths and reveals our defects.
2️⃣ Strength Against Temptation: St. Teresa of Avila warns that abandoning mental prayer leaves us vulnerable to sin. Learn how this prayer equips us with the grace to resist temptation and grow in virtue.
3️⃣ Divine Love’s Furnace: Meditation kindles a deep love for God, detaches us from earthly distractions, and inspires us to pursue holiness.
Check out St Alphonsus' method of mental prayer:
• MENTAL PRAYER: How to ...
Through a powerful story about exploring a dark cave, we reflect on the necessity of light-both physical and spiritual-to find our way. Just as headlamps guided us out of the cave, mental prayer guides our souls toward Christ, the only way to salvation.

Years ago, during mental prayer, I sensed a warning ~ there was something amis in my body. Two weeks later, after listening, trusting & then seeking, I learned that I had cancer. I wasn't shocked or devastated because I received the loving gift of 'knowing ahead of time, from God.' To this day, 26 years later, I remain grateful to Him for opening the ears of my heart & soul. ♡
Praise God.
Jesus never said it would be easy just that He would be with us all the way. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
September 2018 rocked my family with the hurricane Florence. To lives and properties displaced we gave $45k. We also gave in 2020 COVID year. The "Treasure Principle" by Randy Alcom helped my giving reason why getting $105k in two months is just evident of God's blessings on my household. God never faltered on his written and spoken promises over my household.

If you do not know where you will go if you died right now then you deny CHRIST because you deny what HE said as follows:
John 3:14 KJV "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the SON OF MAN (CHRIST) be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believes in HIM should not perish but have eternal life.
16 For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believes in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For GOD sent not HIS SON into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through HIM might be saved.
18 He that believes on HIM is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the NAME of the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD."
36 He that believes on the SON has everlasting life: and he that believes not the SON shall not see life; but the wrath of GOD abides on him.
Note: A true believer is saved from hell, has eternal everlasing life, and is not condemned because his sins are forgiven. Why? Because CHRIST paid the penalty for sin which is death for us in our place.
