What stunning footage! I grew up on Vancouver island and have watched the orcas my whole life. It was always amazing. But our water is not clear like that so we can only see them when they are above the water. I would love to see them in person there. They all have a huge piece of my heart. Such beautiful and intelligent animals.
The water is so clear and the orcas are gliding so smoothly, it almost feels like they're flying.
This is it. The video I always come back to to remember where I come from, who I am, and that there is so much beauty and wonder in the world.

i have to mention that sometimes animals get saved from extermination by that but overall you are right that its cruelty
Ofcourse if they are ill or something it's better for them to get saved :) But not if they get catched and taken to Sea world for example :(

Can you imagine. You live there and one or a few are friends and just play with them on the coast. A dream that never will come true. The more I learn of them, the more I trust them. Freedom is what makes them happy as every other wild animal.
Ardent Fan: I don't say that they cannot harm you. But by learning them from a distance and later on it may be more peacefull. I agree that wild animals still can be dangerous. Orca is one that never have eaten a human in the wild.
They kmow where to looks for which kind of prey. They are very intelligent. They know their habitat so well and have adopted ingenious ways to hunt their food. They deserve respect and love. Not captivity in swimming pools. Same for dolphins

That’s an eagle ray and not a sting ray.
If you watch at 1:07 you can clearly see the ray flap his wings like a bird.
Orca will still eat eagle rays.

1:06 center screen up top you can clearly see a sting ray swim across and into the see weed. Orca missed that one and he was close to it.

I live in the area. Nz orca are unique in that they hunt stingrays. It is well documented.
