- Hello World! If you’re thinking or about to replace the axle on your Toyota then this is the video for you! Here is an overview on installing the front axle on Toyota pick up/forerunner. Applies 89 to 94 models at least it should

So you don't have to remove the rest of hub parts inside hub?
You have to take the hub cover off and remove the retaining c clip. But don’t have to remove the bearing but I say you should go ahead and remove them,makes the axle go in easier and you can re pack the bearings and extend the life of everything involved.
@TheLincolnfreak ok yeah thx.. I think I'm just a Lil intimidated cuz of the locking hub in general.. I do a lot of my own repairs and I've done em on a 90 Chevy my dad had. But know nothing about manual Hubs..
I didn't see , did you have to take the snap ring off? I know some offroad guys just leave it off.

Bull! This is a sorry excuse for a how to video! He left out some of the most important steps which free the axel. This video is useless. Thumbs Down! 👎
@@PhillipHall01 thank. Yeah I didn't see anything about the snap ring... although I do hear offroad guys leaving the snapring and bolt off... I guess it's only there to hold the star cover if all the bolts come loose. Might actually be easier for future repair to leave the snapring out then lol

Maybe so but I would not recommend it.. Its simple to remove and adds TONS of safety security which equals peace of mind.
