  • After cycling 800km from the Arctic Circle to Fairbanks, I was fortunate to have one of my RUclips audience members contact me and offer to host me at his home in North Pole Alaska. I had such a wonderful week off the bike. Thank you Larry and Lisa for your kindness and hospitality.

"I'll have a water as well please" - "a what?" As a Brit living in the U.S. I feel your pain.

I understood him perfectly. And I think she did too. How many options for drinks are there that she couldn't figure it out. The only problem with I see here, was the way she said "what." She just seemed rude.

I don’t know about you how lucky u feel
But I cried and shrewd tears for their selfless and kind hospitality for a biker who they don’t know at all.
I sincerely pray god to bless them more than me for this.
Wishing you many more supportive on the way for your long endless journey

@@AdamHugill There are - but it's different when someone grows on you, right? You said it yourself. The people you meet on the road feel closer than people from back home. The serendipity that we can invoke others with can do wonders.

Thank you Adam, you meet up with quality people because you too have a big heart. Cycling is supposed to be a healthy activity but we have to deal with all sorts of pollution (fumes, dust, smokes, …). The big talk about improving air quality is simply empty words. No doubt you will reach 10K Subs before the end of the Year. Happy & Safe cycling!

Growing up in Alaska I loved seeing Brooke @therealgirlinthewoods and her husband @bushradical on the couples season of Alone, she has become one of my favorite youtubers as I also love homesteading and building. It was fun seeing her meeting you up in FBX and your lovely visit with just another warm Alaskan family. I have fond memories of the North Pole when my family visited when I was younger and I actually remember staying at a campground near FBX that charged .25 per minute...that was 34 years ago! I was horrified as I didn't know how to take showers less than 20 minutes. My dad told me I'd better just do it fast. lol!
