My mechanic did the same thing as you - put in 6L of oil, changed the filter, but didn't drain the excess oil at the end. I'm also now afraid that I have over 6L of oil in the gearbox. And everyone says that the maximum should be around 5L. Is it dangerous to drive a car with so much oil in the gearbox? Thanks for your reply.
When you noticed, I changed the oil with the machine and I changed the complete 7.1-liter tank ... after the change, I checked the oil level in the transmission according to the vw manual ... I don't know what your mechanic did, but I've done it several times on this car and it works reliably
@@turbolali Yes, I watched your video. He dropped old oil, than he added oil from the top, all 6L and changed the filter. (didn't use machine) And that's all ok. But at the end of your video, you dropped the excess oil. And my mechanic didn't do that. That's why I ask you, is it dangerous to drive with excess oil in the gearbox?
@@turbolali huge thnx for answer. I will warm up to 40 C (gearbox oil) then dropped excess oil. I read somewhere that the DQ250 holds about 4.8-5L of oil (when the filter is changed), so I believe that I have about 1L of excess oil, in gearbox.
