You guys had a good point at the end. Filipinos on average are used to speaking and hearing English words and Spanish words more than Korean or Chinese so the transition is harder despite the fact that geographically, the Philippines is closer to South Korea and China.

In regards to what she said about the rolling and unrolling of the r, I think it was because tagalog is a languange that rolls the r and english is a languange that does not roll the r (english and tagalog is the two official languanges in the Philippines ) so that made it easier to switch
