I never liked prank videos.. don’t have any interest them. I clicked cos it never occurred to me that marrying a Filipina (a race) can be concept of a prank video. This was a bit degrading for me. My parents would let me marry anyone regardless of race as long as he’s responsible and will make me happy.
I don’t think “marrying a filipina girl” meant to be like an exotic thing thats why they made a prank video about it. I think it’s more of like Koreans are very traditional when it comes to these kind of stuff, so i think their main purpose was how would their parents react if they married someone who’s a non-korean, which in this case it happened to be a filipino girl. But idk, im not filipino so dont quote me on that, it was just my perspective haha
Your country has forgotten, during your civil war, Philippines came and helped you South Korea, to defend your country! Your mother needs to be reminded of that I'm sure she was born during that war. Philippines came and helped and other countries came and helped. Dont forget you're not North Korea is because others came and helped.

I know that cultural differences will affect much in the marriage life of couples. I can say because I am married with a Swiss and our first months together was quite. I am just thankful mom had accepted me with no problem at all. Now we both understand each other well. As what Woo’s mother said, “ Love is the most important thing. “ if you truly love each other then you will try to understand each other’s flaws and weaknesses. Keep it up guys!
I understand why parents disapprove marriage between a Filipina and a Korean Couple. I assume... It is about Cultural Differences. But if it's about Status in life... It's a different argument... Because... A Filipina is priceless and worthy.
I believe its not only cultural differences but communication. Most moms cannot communicate in english thst's why they prefer korean. Should their foreign partners able to speak korean I think their moms will easily give their approval. Dont yout think so?
I think moms will have different decision if it is her son will marry a filipina or if her daughter will marry a filipino. Most moms prefers american or european to marry their daughter due to STATUS as filipinos are considered as third country national that's why expect for rejection. It's a different story if the filipino guy is rich then maybe you get approval. However, for a korean son to marry a filipina, communication is a factor for moms approval. Even she's not rich as long as she can communicate with her they can easily get along.
@@ibrahimgul864 not just communication if your a girl and they find you pretty they will like you instantly and yeah they'll insist of learning their language which is the most BASIC STANDARD if you wanna be friend the locals in any country. Status is funny if it's with a girl since Korea is very patriarchal expect the men to do the work usually they will let you have your own career BUT if your mother in law is very traditional then thats a different story 😂😂😂 Status is for men to be questioned 😝 what i like about them is that mostly families they'll invest in their daughters letting her experience leisure, pampering her, making her if not the prettiest then the most prettiest 😂😂😂 so that a rich man will notice her 😂😂😂 i remember those ahjummas and my samunim telling me not be serious with the one i am dating 😂😂😂 that i should get married with a rich Korean man since they find me very pretty 😂😂😂 I never dated a Korean man.. I've got a lot of Korean suitors but they're just so not my style 😂😂😂 I don't know 😂😂😂
My late Dad was very traditional...he wouldn’t be thrilled if I marry someone whose not a Filipino. But like any parent, he would have eventually given in to their kids wishes 🙂
I really love what woo’s mother say she’s really open minded and support what son makes him happy I love this like this mother. I HOPE ALL pls marry me 😅😸
you can really tell how korean takes marriage seriously, like hooney is already 27 and if it's here in the philippines, mostly considered it as a late age to get married already. I think this is one of the best traditions Korea has.
"teach her korean". Just an ordinary phrase but means a lot. It show how a open minded and welcoming mother she is. Love is love... No barriers can hinder it... And support is all we need... Let just toss the old fashion mindset... Let the future generation cultivate their own life so that they can share another and different story to the next generation.
I think this is an interesting video. I’m a Filipina married to a German. I’m sure that my parents-in-law may have had some reservations as did my Mom. But in the end I think Germans and Filipinos are probably more open-minded than Koreans regarding interracial relationships and there was no problem with our relationship and our decision to get married. It‘s just interesting that the Korean moms‘ reaction was incredulity and by the first guy‘s mom, unacceptance as well. It is what is, I guess.
when she said love is the most important thing....... I salute to her...so sad my mom is in heaven now ...I can't call her and talk with her like you do.... Treasure your mother..
In any relationship, communication is very important. How can two persons understand each other if they don't speak the same language. It's imperative to understand not only the language, but also the culture of your spouse.

@Lee tirona. i don't agree with what you said. I think that majority of the Filipino parent's, respect their children's decision to marry whom they wished. I was really worried about your mom's reaction when you brought up the situation. It was indeed an alarming and shocking confession specially if it deals to the future of their children. We Filipinos actually predicted it somehow that some races/ nationalities not just Korean have their own opinions about Filipinos. It is undeniable that some races underestimate Filipinos, but we also appreciate those people who believe that the Philippines is an amazing and a beautiful country. By the way, I'm an avid fan here!
woo's mom is definitely cool!she's awesome. on the other side, hooney's mom is confused.meanwhile hooney tried to justify much🤣 though it's understandable for a parent to worry for her child."individual differences and cultures are quite hard to adjust.

aaaaa the good thing about Filipinos is that they can easily adapt. they know how to get along with other non-Filipinos, not to mention Filipinos are good at speaking in English since it is really required to learn especially when applying for a job so language isn't a barrier at all. 😂 Also, trust me, when Filipinos want to learn something, they will learn it!
Hahaha so true others would go to classes just to learn english while here in the philippines we just watch Pepa pig and english speaking movies and BOOM we can speak english😂
I think woo omma is very soft hearted mother who is easily to be with a daughter in law.A omma that can be love by her soon daughter in law. While Hooney omma is a very traditional mother that is not easy to deal at first but maybe will accept it someday.
What I love about this video is your relationship with your mothers, quite beautiful to see that. And we absolutely understand, it is not that your mothers are close minded they just want your best interest in mind.
As a filipino mother myself, there are 2 races in Asia that I will NEVER allowed my kids to enter into married and those are korean and chinese, korean and chinese are same when it comes to attitude and behaviour. I would rather have them marry a Japanese then be part of any korean or chinese family.
Aww.. you know guys, If Hooney is my real life boyfriend and his mother reacts like this.. it would seriously break my heart. When she said that he should marry a Korean. So even if there is a child involved, she would not give her blessings for Hooney to marry me.. I have nostalgia , deja vu as I experienced this with a Korean ex bf. There is no child involved but his mom opposed to our relationship. They were living Philippines, mind you. I got really pissed off during those times, my ego and my countrymen were insulted the way my ex mother mentioned why her son should not marry a Filipina. So I threatened them to get banned from immigration😤😆 but this happened in 2008, I was 21 and fresh college graduate. Looking back, there is no bitterness on my part anymore. I laugh at all those memories. Just add it to my experience. But seriously, this still makes me sad. Because the pain is still there.

Im a Filipino but i didnt find it degrading. I believe they use Filipina because most of their contents are about Phils. Chill lang tayo.
Simple... They do it for views 😂😂marami kasing uto2x sa pinas😂
YEAH I AGREE WITH YOU EL. NA-CURIOUS LANG TALAGA AKO SA NAME NG CONTENT HAHAHAHAHAHA.
I think they used filipina because he once went to the Philippines
The second mom is lit!!! She's more on communication and its a very important part of a relationship!!!
Your country has forgotten, during your civil war, Philippines came and helped you South Korea, to defend your country! Your mother needs to be reminded of that I'm sure she was born during that war. Philippines came and helped and other countries came and helped. Dont forget you're not North Korea is because others came and helped.
Bruh I am filipino and this is getting annoying. Its also cringy. Its like I helped you once you should bow down to me and treat me like a king. If they have no gratitude or whatsoever just let them be. You just ended up looking like some arrogant fool. Be the bigger person. Dont seek some gratitude from them, especially if they dont want to. You’ll just waste your time.
@@clemntne self righteous! Dont come at me, because i know for sure youve never been the better person on some situations! If youre perfect and never done any sin, sure why not!
@@ibrahimgul864 You have a point😎
Status is important to some not to spread some hate but it is the TRUTH. I've lived in there 😂😂😂 used to live in Korea 😂😂😂
I HOPE ALL
pls marry me 😅😸
"Love is the most important thing"/"Mind is more important than face" A big salute to your mother. 🥺❣️ Love lots from Philippines 💕
you can really tell how korean takes marriage seriously, like hooney is already 27 and if it's here in the philippines, mostly considered it as a late age to get married already. I think this is one of the best traditions Korea has.
"-we should think on the good side"
"No reason to disagree with your opinion"
❣️
Wow!! woo mom is very matured enough to think positively side 😍😍 omma i think i like you and your son 😍
@@cesen8128 agree.
Ok Woo oppa, let's get married and we will cook a food everyday 😆
"teach her korean".
Just an ordinary phrase but means a lot. It show how a open minded and welcoming mother she is.
Love is love... No barriers can hinder it... And support is all we need... Let just toss the old fashion mindset... Let the future generation cultivate their own life so that they can share another and different story to the next generation.
For the second mom: love is the most important thing. Awwww......my heart melted!
Try telling them that it's american or someone not from Philippines. Lets see what they say. Lol
Panigurado, positive reply agad haha. rich country yata yun. Gusto ring bansa para mag immigrant.
Ouchie for filipinas😂
I'm waiting for this! Ha ha
By the way I'm proud Filipina here,
I think his mother is just being protective of her son. That's all we cannot just think all the time that they hate Philippines.
Its because the daughter-in- law has to follow their culture..she has to serve her parents- in-laws too...😑😑
A filipina here!
I love the way woo's mom says "I'LL THINK POSITIVELY"
Blue hoodie guy mom 's usual words - ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?
White shirt guy 's mom 's usual words - ARE YOU CRAZY....😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You can marry me now Woo Oppa. We already have permission. LOL🤣
Hooney's mom is really strictㅋㅋㅋ Woo's mom is more relaxed 😂 Almost choked when Hooney pretended to be the girlfriend! Hahahaha!!
Ok Hooney, there goes your dream of marrying Liza Soberano😂😂
I liked the mom of the white shirt guy, literally an openminded.
This makes me feel/realized that there’s something wrong in marrying a FILIPINA.. it’s so sad 😞
Its about cultural differences
In any relationship, communication is very important. How can two persons understand each other if they don't speak the same language. It's imperative to understand not only the language, but also the culture of your spouse.
@@bel5874 I think no language or culture is an issue or a barrier if both of you love, trust and respect whatever might be the future holds to both.. as they say Love conquers all ❤️❤️❤️

Kahit nabuntis na wag daw pakasalan can you justify how they think of us like a piece of trash yet their content is all about philippines theyre useing us for views because we pilipinos easily deceive.
@@anaa5055 Exactly! Language barrier is just a reason someone doesn't wanna marry a person from another culture. If you really love a person, you will find a way no matter how hard it is. You are right.

Woo's mom is so cool, "Love" and "Communication" are important 😎

good vid! keep it up guys ♥
Older generations are often closed minded. I’m Filipino and my mom was the same way. Most Asian cultures are that way I think.
Yeah really, but if that is British the mom will say yes faster than lightning.
@Lee tirona. i don't agree with what you said. I think that majority of the Filipino parent's, respect their children's decision to marry whom they wished. They will only object if the gf/bf is of "questionable character". or if they're too young to marry or still in school and financially incapable to start a family.
I think the white shirt his mother is looks like funny person and lovable mother in law... And yes she is open minded, and the blue jacket, I understand the reaction of his mother due to the different cultured, it's hard to adjust but there's no impossible for love...the very important is the respect of each other.
I love how Woo's mother is so positive. Not all mother are and every woman can be so positive. 😍 and Hooney's mom is so realistic with the cultural differences. 😍
Honestly, I am half-hearted on this vid. Though I understand that cultural differences do exist. But hats off to your moms as they will try to take it positively.
I admire woos mom for saying love is the most important thing and wants to hang out with her...though hooneys mon dont really agree but is not closing her door to give her time to think ..goodluck to your channel and more power
Oh yeah when he said the gf is rich and beautiful 😁
I know that there are several factors that come into play as to how we view/interpret this video. I’m proud to say that I am lucky and blessed to have such loving Korean parents-in-law especially my mother-in-law.I had a no holds barred interview video of her on my channel and she honestly said that race was never an issue for her and at the end of the day, my husband’s decision will matter. My subscribers love my Korean mother-in-law for her honesty, open-mindedness and willingness to adapt to different situations. To all the Filipino and foreigner daughters-in-law here in Korea- Aja Aja!
I like the mom of the white shirt guy she is more understanding, supportive and so positive
proud being a filipina..some parents here in ph they don't care about what nationality their daughter/son are going to marry as long as the guy is serious, kind, respectful, harworking..but we respect the culture in every countries and in the end we are all humans who can feel love to each other..
filipinos are open minded and we love to learn other countries culture.. We don't mind if you black or white we got you!
Prank your dad... youre in a relationship with a man.... lets see how far you guys could go hahahaha
"Love is the important thing" I love it❤️ a very understanding mother❤️
I love what your mom said , “ mind is important than her face!”😁But then I wanted to tell your mom that most Filipina are resilient and flexible with regards to different culture. I don’t think she’s going to have a problem with a Filipina daughter-in-law just in case her son chose to marry one in the future!
"Think carefully before talk" i cant stop laughing ㅋㅋ
"Love is the most important thing" - wow! the mother is so cool! she tried to think on the good side of the situation rather than dealing with the negativity. And despite having an unexpected situation, both mothers did not say any negative things to the supposed 'girlfriend'. Respect for both mothers. 👍👍👍
What if she's not rich? Oh boy you should stand on your feet. This goes to all who have read this comment.
U r d man!!!
Same with me when my boyfriend told that he will marry me and we having a baby to his parents they cant accept it and i understand because of different cultures and language barrier. But i know someday they will accept it in Gods perfect time. The most important thing that we love and respect each other and hopefully soon we will be together..
Woo’s eomma is so cool. 👍🏻 i think that she’s a very loving person who acknowledges his son’s opinion or feelings. I love her mindset so woo eomma can i marry your son? Cherrreeettt!! ✌️
And for hooney’s eomma, a typical korean mom. An oldschool. I know she wants the best for his son but if she could just open her heart, it will be a 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I fell in love to the second guy mom more when she said that "love is more important." What a beautiful mindset she have 😍
Plot twist: both of their mother knew about their prank 🤣🤣
Wow I really like WOO's Mother she is so open minded & i like is said " It's ok the love & communication is important " I know is so hard when the culture is very different.. But we are same coz we are asean 😁😁😁 but To LEE's Mother she's very angry first but she accepted in the end.. I know is very hard to communicate coz different languages & culture I understand ur mother react coz they hard to speak the English language for Filipino so is very hard to accept the Filipino people but Filipino is always adjust for Korean culture if need the Korean language we are talk Korean language for you .. 😊😊
Very nice mom 😍
Ps:😂 its so funny duhhh , i little bit nervous while watching
OMO.so cool mother, both of them agree and its just wow....Even if both of you does have a difference in culture you can still be with each other..

I admire that you really consider the opinion of your mother in this matter...you are a good sons..
That " love is the most important thing" seriously, i want to hug Woo's mother she kinda pretty cool🥰 Eomma, Saranghae💜💜💜
I have lived in Korea and yes this is the typical reaction of a Korean Mother 😂😂😂 its true they're very close minded regarding marrying a foreigner into their family but things seems to loosen up bit by bit 😂😂😂 there are certain criteria you'll hear from a mother's mouth even the countries economic issue hahahaha!
HAHAHA someones mom is more open minded as long as they marry for LOVE... as long as they love each other they can face adversities.... such a cool mum!!!
That's what we called "MOTHER KNOWS BEST" We love every mothers of course.
Not all people are close minded as long as you can open their heart mind is not the problem
aaaaa the good thing about Filipinos is that they can easily adapt. they know how to get along with other non-Filipinos, not to mention Filipinos are good at speaking in English since it is really required to learn especially when applying for a job so language isn't a barrier at all.
I love the way the second mom thinks, you can tell she wants her son's happiness. Love is more important. Aww so sweet.
Your mom has a point marrying with diff culture is difficult though.
Aww.. you know guys,
If Hooney is my real life boyfriend and his mother reacts like this.. it would seriously break my heart.
Oh girl Sad story we forgive but never forget...well,I raise my Hand to Woo mom shes amazing.😍
@@edcysantillan2520 yah his mom is open minded. Seems so cool🤔😁
