Whenever I see a series 2 or 3 XJ , my heart skips a beat , despite me owning a gorgeous V12 series 3 . That is the power this car has over all other cars with the exception of the Jensen Interceptor . The later 40 series of jags was wide of the mark and didnt count as far as I am concerned but one thing that spoils my own car is the nasty digital trip computer which I would like to change for the earlier traditional clock .
If there is a better looking car, I don't know what it is. One question, however. After they get some brake dust or salt on them, how many hours does it take to properly clean those wire wheels?

I have the exact same jag, but mine has been converted to a 350 camaro ss drive train. freaking thing rips with that aluminum body ...but alas I need a new spindle for the i.r.s. and can't find 1 anywhere. 😢

Sound like the air pump, probably dry noisy bearings from non use.
It's a standard item easily found maybe for $100 new.
