@@Jafromobile If we want to go 1st gen, we go all the way back to the 60s... I got a 1974 2nd gen side vent and cut a hole in my Datsun 1200 hood and voila, new hood vent over the carby. But THIS generation, the Daddy of the Lancer Evolution series, came out in 1988. 😉👍

They have in New Zealand for many years, think 90's early 2000's..
Most were just night wars competitor's though, so full street trim, fully street legal (Actually legal not American so called "street car" legal) drove there, ran 10's then drove home.

OMG is that 'ol 044? I had her for 10 years, from 97-07. TAD, a rally company, built her trans and sorted her out. AMS took 30k of our hard-earned money. The Body Shop did the stock paint and extra clear. The tint was by John Wayne on NW hwy in chicago. Miss it. Rear belts didnt lock and I had kids. DEVO built me an evo. Hated it. Good to see!
I had an EVO 4 that was built by TAD. Remember DEVO from back in the day as well. Getting old!

@@2012listo I had an EVO 4 that TAD converted to LHD many years back. Also, DEVO from friends having cars tuned by them. Didn't the owner have an EVO 6, that was sold to a scam artist company Sierra something? It's been so long. Getting hard to recall things!
Congrats on the ET and MPH record. Galant vr4 1062 checking in. I ran a best of 9.45@156.9 back in 2011, held the ET and MPH record for a few months and MPH record until you pulled this off. I hope to be out again this year.

My all time favorite import car the mighty Galant Vr4 , I go back to the days Nathan Pharr was tearing the track up with his Vr4.

The owner is doing big things, an early evo rs would be much lighter but props for running this Vr4 hard. Also big up for keeping it h pattern and not going auto.

@@ahmedislam2580 it's just a figure of speech most people refer to anything with a 4g63 as as DSM not because it was made in normal Illinois, or shipped in from Japan, look at DSM shows on RUclips you will see Galantis there
My Grandpa used to own a VR-4 Galant, he sold it so we can buy a Mitsubishi Fuzion, it was a great JDM hope I get to buy one of these babies in the future💜

I used to own 78/1k before some scumbag tboned it.. ce37s, evo3 16g, keydiver chip, fp race mani, 3g mas, 850s all the good stuff.. shep trans and a 4 bolt rear end. Ets fmic and the 3in exhaust i forgot what company made it for the gvr4...it was such a fun car.

@@vr4tui774 Don't worry, they're largely meaningless. The badges were applied when they rolled 'em off the container ship. 2000 were imported to the US in '91, and 1000 in 1992. They're only 3,000 of the production units, but they're the only 3,000 ever shipped here and sold by the manufacturer new. The factory has no idea or reference to what number they actually were, or which VIN goes with what badge... but that little bronze plaque and matching key fob made them quick sellers at the dealership.

This 4g63t engine were famous back than in year 2000 in my country...we import lot of galant vr4,evo 1,2,3 halfcut from japan and put this engine in another rebadge mitsubishi model(proton).....good old time...

I shift at 9,400 on my 4G63 turbo van all the time. If you balance them properly they rev nice with no issues.
