- We are very excited to announce a new video series. So many of you viewers have said you love tagging along with us behind the scenes, visiting the homes of designers and tastemakers around the world. We thought you'd also enjoy joining us on our travels to many of the special locations where we find ourselves shooting At Home With episodes. Inspired by the long and sadly mostly lost tradition of handwritten postcards, these virtual postcards will be from our personal points of view, including, as always, only our own photography and video content. We hope it will be a fun way stay in touch, take a vicarious trip and hopefully be entertained and inspired! So stay tuned and bon voyage!

Thank you. Agree. In my international travels, I connected to the culture and the simple everyday moments. First, I'd people watch with a cappuccino at a local cafe and then sit in a local cathedral to share their spirit and admire the architecture where they spend their quiet sacred moments. Funny, I was just thinking along these lines last night while watching the honeymoon scenes of the 1979 film "Second Chapter" with Marsha Mason & James Caan, who are biking around the smallish town they traveled to for their honeymoon (where things go wrong). I thought that's where the happiness is, in smaller towns where people really "see" one another. Thanks for the inspiration to get out there!!!

I love this idea! I can't travel right now for a variety of reasons, so I'm doing a lot of vicarious exploring. Having lived in a few foreign countries, I totally agree that getting behind the doors and away from the tourists is the way to go!

I went to Portugal a few tears back and meandered off into the unknown where I found the most gorgeous bed throw for 4 Euro in a “junk shop”. Not one item had a price tag on and almost everything in there was just not worth buying or bringing home for that matter. But oh! The throw is the throw of DREAMS!
