Yes! I loved that library. It also made me realize that bookshelves do not need to be brown or white. They can be green!!
That pink marble is amazing. The floor in the kitchen is very cheery. It felt so airy and refreshing. What a beautiful lifestyle. Everything was so light and whimsical. The outside view is gorgeous. Thank you for a truly wonderful tour of Tangier life.

I don’t know Tangier but love the parts of Morocco I’ve visited, it’s so exotic and colourful to me. The design aesthetic, as you see here, is fabulous and timeless and gives the impression of being affordable. And I’ve had the best food I’ve ever eaten there.
We adored Tangier, the creative homes and the food was fabulous!
dont get screwed by sellers and watch out for people who try to sell you old carpets or old furniture.The stuff is fabricated .As for affordability. It depends upon how you present yourself.If you use your brain you can live there very cheap

Frank de Biasi is. a. genius. period. I just can't get enough of his creativity, it is so playful, so rich, whimsical, and colorful yet intricate yet rustic. His homes are jewels. I wish one day I can pull off one-hundredth of his style. Now I will rewatch 😍😍😍.

Hi Susanna, as always I loved your video. Mr. Frank de Biasi and his partner may come to Lisbon (Portugal). Lisbon is the european capital closer to Marocos. Probably the pink marble is from a village in the south of Portugal, called Vila Viçosa. Thank you for one more stunning visiting!!!

I have always loved this house a lot. I have also admired its vivid colors, its uniqueness and just how soothing it makes me feel. So I can't say anything but thank you Susanna for following beauty wherever it is, and thank you Frank for allowing us, once again, to enjoy the beauty of your own sacred temple.
What I admire most, however, is the way Frank is talking about Moroccan craftsmanship and the city of Tangier.

Wow. He is such a storyteller. The home has a mix of everything yet there are so many vignettes with symmetry, like wall sconce lights and the basket/vases filled with apricot coloured roses on the apple green mantle piece in Tangier; the palm fronds on the book shelves in Miami. Just magical and in every corner there is a place for the eyes to feast on.

That's exactly it, Susanna, "... every area and corner has a reason and a sense of purpose but there's a sense of whimsy or two". I admire the practicality of Frank and Gene's house; if it wasn't so practical and efficient and well-thought-out I wouldn't enjoy it near as much. I've always remembered the adjustable bookshelves in the library of their New York apartment that was show here. In this new place I especially liked the little window between rooms at 6:36. The atrium space is great: I'm an ocean liner enthusiast and the atrium here reminds me of the light wells that used to go up through the upper decks and public rooms of ocean liners of the late 1800's and early 1900's, providing light and air circulation. When Frank and Gene redecorate or move to a new place and there's a Quintessence visit: I'm in!

That kitchen is 😍. Everything in it is perfect! And I love the floor tile design as well. I love all the green, and the prints, and the staircase. This is definitely one of my favorites! It's so full of life. I wish more homes in the US drew inspiration from these styles of home design. These designers are so creative, and inventive. Frank De Biasi has definitely become one of my favorite designers! Thank you once again Susanna and Quintessence!

Bonjour Suzanna and Stacy, Joyeuses St-Valentin mesdames !! Now, that short visit was so nice : bright, shinny and colorful : I totally enjoyed it. This melting pot of goodies (art, etc.) from all over the world, everything is so elegantly mixed together è everywhere our eyes stoped, it was a feast of colors and interesting things to look at and appreciate. For example, the mat from "Mauritanie" close to this very English style canapé, it takes a genious to think of this ! Anyway, I could talk a long time about the pleasure of this visit, thanks to you both, this moment was a St-Valentin's gift ! P.s.: Suzanne, I loved your djellabah or kaftan, very light, summery and nice color. - That is the only thing I wear in my home, I love all the many kaftans that I have, many were brought from travel and some I was gifted. This was so fun! I so appreciated him SPECIFICALLY NAMING Mali 🇲🇱 and Mauritania 🇲🇷 when identifying patterns in his textiles. Having lived and travelled throughout Africa myself, it’s always odd to watch the designers and collectors you include gush over their Mediterranean, Moroccan and Egyptian textiles, patterns and designs/influences when items in their collections are clearly from various other parts of Africa, with no mention to that country, but get lumped into the generic African- if there is even a mention at all! In any case, I love your blog and RUclips channel, especially when the designers veer from the stuffy and sometimes pretentious stylings of colonial Europe.
