That's one dimension I am sorry. There is also the praying in tongues. He is mixing the ability to speak an unlearned earthly language and the gift of heavenly tongues. My sister fell under the anointing while on a mission to Africa and spoke the local dialect. Even she almost passed out when she heard the recording. Then there is the gift of heavenly tongues which bubbles out of your mouth when there is a heavy atmosphere of worship or ministeration. It can happen even when you are by yourself. No, you are not crazy!!😁

Diverse Tongue. John Bevere has an excellent teaching on speaking in tongues. He states their our 4 different uses for tongue 2 private and 2 public. I speak and sing in tongues during worship. It is how I worship. I do not have natural talent but thank God that he gives good gifts because i now use my gifts during worship to bring Him glory. There are times I know I am interceding in the Spirit as the Holy Spirit leads. I travail with groans and utterance. I have had a conversation with an elderly Jewish woman, I have no idea what I said, it was like I was a third person listening to two foreigners speaking. We definitely don’t use our gift to the fullest. Praying that people seek after God and Holy Spirit begins to teach us from the ancient times before man added to the teachings.

Steve, Vick: No I am not a prophetess in the sense of the office of the prophet, but GOD has spoke to me in dreams and visions and some have come true. I do not seek them, I seek GOD. And nowhere in the BIBLE does it say women of GOD do not speak in tongues. Speaking in tongues is one of the mainfestation of being baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT.

Holiness is p;art of the requirement, but its not all.. there is the aspect of faith for receiving too because, when you believe(not mental assent, mind you) you receive.. It is the free gift of God, so it is of Grace, but sin must not be part of your lifestyle.. when the flesh is totally ebbed out by your desire for God, then the fullness of the Holy Sp;irit comes in to your life. my advice, seek the p;resence first, kingdom first, His righteousness first, and all that is with the Father can be yours.

Speaking in " tongues" is the result of a believer being baptized in the Holy Spirit. It is praying for the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit until He answers your prayer and fills you. Then you must yield your tongue to the Spirit until He takes control of your tongue, " tames" it, and enables you to speak in the spiritual language our English translation calls " tongues".
When this happens it causes the filling to overflow, which is what Spirit baptism is, while at the same moment the Holy Spirit joins with our spirit.
Now the believer has recieved the Holy Spirit as a permanent indwelling presence and has been " born of the Spirit "

Good Day to you all,,,I have a Question ,and if anyone can help me,,,Ive received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and grew up in a Charismatic Holy Ghost Church were we were allowed to speak in Tongues during worship,,,But I moved to El Paso and cannot find a Church that has the same believes as I do.....Im attending a Pentecostal Church but they do not believe in Free Expression in the Spirit during Worship the believe it is not biblical..They say there must be order,,,,But I know from my experiences that this is not true , because it denys the Freedom of the Holy Spirit to move,,,can anyone show me some scriptures to prove otherwise ,,Thank you

There is one truth concerning speaking in "tongues" that many have missed.On the day of pentecost, after the apostles recieved the Holy Spirit they didn't speak in multiple earthly languages.They all spoke in one spiritual language.The plural usage if the word " tongues" is not multiple believers speaking in multiple earthly languages, it was more than one believer speaking in a language.Three times in Acts 2 those in the crowd said," How hear we them in our own language"? The miracle for them was "hearing" in their own languages not that the apostles were speaking in them. In Acts ch.10 when Cornelius and his guests recieved the Holy Spirit they spoke in tongues and glorified God. Peter didn't say " how do we hear them speaking in our languages?" He said that," They have recieved the Holy Spirit just as we did? The sketical jews would never have believed that the gentiles had recieved the Spirit if they had spoken languages they could have learned beforehand. It had to be a unique language that was unmistakable as an unlearned language.

What’s the difference between baby’s speaking and spirit speaking in tongues?
The baby is learning to communicate and is saying what he has learned to think andget his needs met. When we speak in tongues, the HOLY SPIRIT bypasses our mind and prays for us to GOD. It is the perfect prayer for the HOLY SPIRIT knows our heart even better than we do and what we need and knows our family. We have many benefits when we speak in tongues. I've always been lifted up when praying in tongues. Many times I have very deep emotions and I know I am interceding for someone in the SPIRIT though at the time I don't know always who or why and sometimes I don't ever find out but GOD knows and I've learned to trust HIM and HE proves HIMSELF time and again. One time I was praying for my young granddaughter's salvation and I felt a need to intercede for her that she was in danger. I prayed in the HOLY SPIRIT for her and I found out later that she had been suicidal and had been put in seclusion and she was also an epileptic which can bring on seizure when under stress and needs to be around other people. The HOLY SPIRIT had interceeded for her through me. I definitely knew something was wrong with her. I prayed until the HOLY SPIRIT gave me peace about it. I knew whatever was going on with her she would be ok. Thank GOD, HOLY SPIRIT for using me to do YOUR work, for caring for and protecting us and our families so much and for others also. THANK YOU , JESUS!!! for YOUR great sacrifice!!! For making it possible GOD though your SON!!! HALLELULIA!!! We must be led by the SPIRIT. Our tongues is the main way, and we learn to recognize GOD'S VOICE because HE gives us words or thoughts to encourage us or let us know we need to do something specific. You will soon realize you can't do without HIM. When I got saved: Someone told me once: GOD was going to bless my 🧦 socks off and HE did. SO many benefits. When we are saved and baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT by JESUS, we become partakers of heavenly things. Read (JOHN CHAPTER 14. KJV) JESUS' description of the HOLY SPIRIT. It’s a powerful gift that’s need to activate if the Holy Spirit abides in you you can speak tongues when I accept Jesús in my heart un 2008 I want the gift so bad I prayed and fasted for more thtan a year but nothing happened amd i juts gave up i thought God doesn’t listened to my prayers or there’s was nothing for me but one day I had a dream that I was In a a service with a lot people praying in tongues and I was speaking in tongues in my dream and woke up speaking it for about 45 minuets I kneel down and cry thanking the Lord because when I forgot about it,he surprised me. Keep praying for it he will surprise you suddenly!

I dont speak in.tongues and I'm alrigjt with it. Paul said i rather speak in two words that many will understand then a hundred words that no one understands. What matters is that i believe in my heart and confess witn my mouth that jesus is lord.

Speaking in tongues is speaking directly to God, and speaking in two words- prophesying is talking to people..

Tongues haven't ceased just as knowledge (same passage) hasn't ceased. Future tense. They will cease when "thy kingdom comes" and it's on earth as it is in heaven...but not now. Now we have tongues. For edification, for unbelievers, for speaking to the body.

I've experienced speaking with tongues and it is a supernatural experience. It matches what's described in the NT and no one could ever convince me otherwise. Until you've experienced it, it'll always seem mythical to u.

I have been a born again child of God going on 24 years. Thanks be to God I was led to a church that believed, taught and exercised the gift of tongues. I began to read the scriptures concerning this and I desired the gift. For two years I prayed and others prayed wirh me but I still had not recieved. I went to a church wirh a friend and they asked if anyone is here and u want to recieve the Baptism un the Holy Ghost to come down to be prayed for so of course I went down for prayer. The speaker prayed for me and then told me to go ahead and begin to thank God for your spiritual language which of course I did and then another language began to flow our of me. I continued to pray in the spirit for a while and I don't know why but I guess u could say I put it on the back burner for several ywars. A little over a year ago I thought can I still pray in the spirit so as I began praying in my normal language the Holy Spirit came upon me and God showed me that I never lost it I just had not been exercising this gift. When I first started back the enemy of my soul try telling me that what I was saying was rubbish and it just sounded like a bunch of syllables. I did futher research and found out that is not uncommon. I truly wanted to be real wirh God and myself. The Lord then began to give me an example which was of toddlers learning to walk. The more they do it the more natural it became to them. Same is true with praying in the Spirit. The more natural it becomes. I even researched what one particular word that I kept speaking in tongues meant and sure enough God showed me what the word meant in Hebrew I was blown away to find find the meaning and it lined up with what I was praying for over some people that I new really needed what I was praying. I was praying Gods will. Please don't doubt this gift. The bible states that we recieve power after the Holy Ghost has come upon us. Just one of God's many fringe benefits. Thank U Lord for all u have done in me and through me. God is the same God he has always been. He had just been waiting on me to believe and exercise my prayer language.

Basically what you're saying "apostle" is disregard the Bible (2:53 mark of this video) and follow your feelings? Yeah right.... let's just ignore 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 1 Peter 1:21... The Holy Spirit is the author of Scripture and will not contradict Himself. Tongues are earthly Languages (Acts 2 anyone?), they were not for everyone (1 Cor. 12), ceased upon the completion of Scripture i.e. "that which is perfect" (1 Cor. 13 and see 2 Tim. 3:16-17 again), and should only be Spoken with an interpreter present to edify the congregation, otherwise left to be exercised privately between the individual and God (1 Cor. 14). What Pentecostal/Charismatics and others within that movement are doing is Hindu Kundalinism and is not of the Holy Spirit, but of emotion, persuasion, illusion, dillusion, and downright demonic deception. Tongues and the other sign gifts, where for the Apostolic age (Mark 16), to confirm the gospel message of the Apostles as being from God (Hebrews 2:4), and to guide the Church until the completion of the New Testament Canon (1 Cor. 13).

There is nothing mysterious about Biblical "tongues" - when referring to something spoken, they are nothing more than real, rational language(s); perhaps unknown to those listening to them, but always known by the speaker(s) - it’s their native language.
The “tongues” Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians are producing today is an entirely self-created phenomenon. It is non-cognitive non-language utterance; random free vocalization based upon a subset of the existing sounds (phonemes) of the speaker’s native language, and any other language(s) the speaker may be familiar with or have had contact with. It is, in part, typically characterized by repetitive syllables, plays on sound patterns and over-simplification of syllable structure. One of the more noticeable results of these processes is that no two ‘speakers’ will ever have the same “tongue”.
With respect to the modern phenomenon, what Pentecostal/Charismatic Christians are doing today, 150 years ago, did not exist as a part of the Christian tradition.
People believe something to be supernatural because they can't explain it otherwise. There are, of course, many things in religion which must be taken on faith; they can neither be proved nor disproved. "Tongues" however, is not one of these things. It is something very tangible; it is a phenomenon which can be (and has been) studied and analyzed.
There is absolutely _nothing_ that “tongues-speakers” are producing that cannot easily be explained in natural and/or linguistic terms.
Conversely, when it comes to something spoken, there are absolutely no Biblical references to “tongues” that do not refer to, and cannot be explained in light of, real rational language(s).
Modern tongues is just another _tool_, like chanting or meditation, etc.; a way by which one may establish a closer relationship with the divine and strengthen one’s spiritual path. In this respect (i.e. as the _tool_ it is), it can be quite powerful one to accomplish these goals, as attested by many of those who use it.
Most people who use ‘tongues’ are very keen on describing the ‘experience’. Indeed, for those that use it, it is very psychologically fulfilling. It’s almost like primal screaming. When people practice ‘tongues’, they feel a sense of sweet release in that all stress can be gone after the experience. People can describe the experience, but in examining the “mechanics” behind it, not so much. When a person has experienced tongues, s/he is absolutely convinced as to the ‘scripturalness’ of his/her experience and the correctness of his/her doctrinal beliefs - this, despite the overwhelming scriptural absence of anything remotely akin to it.
Mind you, I'm not doubting or questioning the 'experience'; as mentioned, glossolalia as the tool that it is, can be very powerful. It is important to note however that this same statement can be made for virtually any other culture that practices glossolalia.
“Tongues” is to some Christian believers a very real and spiritually meaningful experience, but consisting of emotional release via non-linguistic ‘free vocalizations’ at best - the subconscious playing with sounds to create what is perceived and interpreted as actual, meaningful speech. In _some_ cases, I would argue that it is clearly a self/mass delusion prompted by such a strong desire to “experience God” that one creates that experience.
Known by many different names, “tongues”, or more accurately “glossolalia”, is practiced by many cultures and religious beliefs from all over the world; it is relatively new to Christianity and certainly not unique to it.
