I was once approached and threatened with a gun by thief's in the night and they were fighting me hard to take my money and other stuff....then I began to pray in tongues furiously and the thief's were amazed and they left me and run away. Our God is wonderful!!!
Most of time when you prayer in your understanding you are selfish, but when you prayer in tongues you might prayer in someone who is in danger or sick in your family, at work without you knowing. SO POWERFUL. UNFORTUNATELY SOME CHRISTIAN DO NOT BELIEVE IN TONGUES.
The exact thing he said about how he and his wife would pray in n bed together in english and tongues every day.... is literally, exactly the deepest prayer of my heart for my marriage. We did this (not in bed) when dating and my soul cries out for restoration of that broken dream. Next he just said my other deep dream, to have children. I have endometriosis and my marriage is not in a healthy place to start trying to have kids and yet my biggest dream is to have kids in a healthy happy home. Please pray for me for these dreams of praying together and someday parenting godly offspring to be restored and for my husbands repentance
You can always have your desires in mind but pray intimately. In tongues from your heart as your main focus. You will build yourself up perfectly and personally. God’s will as your focus will bring your petition into focus where you will begin seeing that you are close to your break through. I pray God move on your behalf and open your eyes to see that he is bringing your situations to an expected end in Jesus Christ name I pray

When I pray in tongues I also pray in the Spirit in my mind in English. Those prayers are really edifying to my soul and I know the Holy Spirit is leading my prayers both in tongues and in the Spirit.
That’s what happens with me. When I pray in tongues I hear new things in English and pray while the tongues are going. Very cool to see read that you do this too. I thought I was doing it wrong.

The way I understand praying in the spirit is that it comes from your connection with the holy spirit who uses you to pray for both yourself and others. You can be praying for yourself one second and someone accross town the next ( if thats needed). So praying for yourself in English makes sense because you are able to focus on a direct prayer. I honestly am not sure how it all works but aomeone of great faith taught that to me. When I pray in tongues, I can feel where the direction of my prayers are going sometimes, sometimes I have no idea...

Thank you very much to Rev. Pastor Richard Roberts. I had been sick and prayed in tongue and then in English. I asked God what the cause of the heat in every part of my body was from. I heard he said later through my spirit that He was healing me. And when I came home from hospital, the Lord also prompted me to take another prescription of medicine which I have stopped taking for a very long while . And this evening I was healed since then. I don't have heart palpitation nor shortness of breath May Glory be to the Lord.

They started speaking in tongues and told me to. I'm very introverted when it comes to crowds and especially something of this magnitude, but It just happened. It wasn't a lot, but I'm doing as they said and exercising it like a muscle. They also said speaking in tongues has proven to boost the immune system by 40%. Also, the part of the brain that's responsible for speech doesn't light up while speaking in tongues. An "unknown" part does!Pretty cool! When I pray in tongues, I feel I guess what you would call "living water" in my stomach going up and reviving me. I've been sick for about 5 years and it definitely eases my pain. Praying for full healing and the faith to know it's mine.

You are articulating what I know to be true. I pray in tongues , but I can only speak in tongues when Holy Spirit speaks through me. Holy Spirit sometimes interprets what I said but not always. Sometimes Holy Spirit simply answers my tongues. One morning I woke up singing an entire song in tongues with an unknown melody and a complete cadence at the end. I cherish that song and pray it happens again some day. I am not “Pentecostal” by denomination but the whole bible belongs to all of us. Holy Spirit pours tongues and devotional writings out of me every day.

My Mom and I got coughing so badly amid the Covid - 19 scourge and we watched Rev Roberts continually. I had also been struggling to rotate my right arm, guess what - as he was healing people of diverse illnesses (shoulders as well), I rotated my shoulder with ease. Even now - almost a month later! The ego mind of left brain will try and stop you from praying in tongues because it doesn't make sense. But keep pressing!
I keep on asking, seeking, knocking...and it doesn’t happen.
