so glad i found this video, ive just done this earlier today as i started having issues getting into 1st and the inside gear knob holes were way off. ive adjusted it, there was a lot of slack on the left sided one which went with adjustment. took it for a little drive and it did seem better. ill go for a longer drive later when im not busy and check it properly. it started happening when the car was warm so thats the next thing to try later. Thanks again for the video.
i have an issue with the 1st gear only, it gets stuck or blocked by something on the way in, i have to comeback to neutral and go back in, or try to go hard on the left first before pushing forward
I have the same issue and i bought from amazon " replace for Gear Selector Shift Shifter Cable End Catch Pair 1J0711761C 1J0711761B Compatible With Polo Jetta GOLF Audi A1 A3 TT B6 B7 SEAT " and arrived today,,i didn't replace yet but if your gearbox its fine , the other issue can be are these two because of the bushes have broken from the years pass
I encountered a problem, the start-stop gives me an error. I mention that I bought a new battery, I put it in the car's memory and it still does the same. What do I have to do to make my start stop work? If you find video clips in this sense, please help, thank you
Any better shifts after the adjustment? Mine Passat b6 bmp doing kind of noise when shifting from first to second when cold engine...I am thinking to try to adjust... my be that the issue?
That sounds like a synchro issue. Parts aren't expensive butblabour is since the gearbix needs ti be taken out and fixed. If you can, I suggest learning how to do it and do it yourself
Was the shifter sloppy during the up or down movement but otherwise fine side to side during neutral? Also when selecting a gear by holding the clutch first and right as you're about to get the stick into gear, is there a sensation of the stick not wanting to into gear unless you give it a bit of a push? If those are the the symptoms you were having i'll adjust mine tomorrow

On this vehicle no, it will need a syncro for 3rd gear
