Military types in our country used the 308 and 5.56 variants of the Galil during the 80s and 90s. But I have never seen a Micro Galil being carried by the local special units. IWI is now selling their wares locally and has supplied the Galil Ace to some of the LEOs. Your Micro Galil seems to perform well despite the shortened length. Thanks for sharing this Jason!!
Never get tired of select fire. That Gilil looks like it can travel anywhere with you for when the SHTF. Tried "bump fire" for the first time on my AK-V and realized I shouldn't have select fire EVER. 200 rnds in no time. It was such a blast lol. Great video Jason, hope you had a good Easter.
I completely agree with you, it's a great firearm in a small and convenient package. I have never tried a bump fire stock or a binary trigger, I am interested to see how the experience mirrors the full auto versions. Thank you as always for your continued support!
Beauty , that was one of my favorite guns while serving, my stock was bit different but the rest is pretty much spot on , again ,beautiful 👍 nice one , thanks for this vid it brings memories
That’s a very cool li’l setup; AKA the Gli’l. That’s like my HK51 but it doesn’t look like the concision is anywhere close to being as bad. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t honestly know why they made the change. Personally, I like it as I believe in charging the weapon with your non-dominant hand so that your dominant hand always stays in the firing position, and I just never enjoyed reaching over or under on an AK or older style Galil. With that being said, most shooters are right handed and a left side charging handle can get caught up on chest rigs and gear and could potentially put the bolt in an out of battery position or just get tangled. It’s a great question though and I don’t have a definitive answer for you.
@@LegacyArmsIntl There are pros and cons, and I'm not sure which side I'd prefer. I guess practically speaking the original is a pretty good compromise. But I too like charging from the left hand side. It does usually mean creating another opening into the receives for dirt to get in.
IMI made these with charging handles on either side, there wasn't a change, it was an option. I had Micro Galil's with charging handles on either side..
I would love to! I have not seen one in the US yet, and most likely won't. If it gets imported into the US there is a chance for me to get it, but I think getting one imported, especially now, will be near impossible at best. I will be on the look out though!
@@LegacyArmsIntl I see, the only person that has something remotely close is Brandon Herrera. But he has a VSS not a VAL. He posted a video about it some time ago.
It is made to compete with the HK53 and other smaller variants based on mission requirements. I would not want it for every situation, but when you need something small yet very capable, this is a great firearm to have at your disposal.
This was an absolute honor to build for you, Jason. But now I need a select-fire Micro Galil in my life! That is badass!!
You guys are doing amazing work and I am grateful to be able to own some of your creations. I look forward to the next two that you have in the works!
Website?
sick. i love galils. i have a galil ace gen 1 pistol with brace. one of my faves
The south african Army and SF have their own variation of the Isreali Galil in the form of R4, R5 and smaller R6
Love my Aces but your Micro is incredible! I can definitely see where it got it's lineage. Love your channel!
Thank you so much! The Aces are great rifles as well!

@@LegacyArmsIntl : If you want to see my ridiculous full auto imitation lol, it's on my last video. It's a dumb B-Day short video.

It was meant to be the rifle for the tank crew. We had Short barrel Galil untill 2003+- which then use M-4.
Love waking up to your content!!!
Thank you very much! I appreciate the support! Have some fun new videos coming in the weeks ahead!
That is a sweet design! Looks very controllable as well.

It's not all fun... I get to load all of the magazines and pay for the guns and ammo as well! LOL
@@LegacyArmsIntl I'll load the magazines! 😜
Badass micro bro
Thank you very much!
has right hand to go life... used left hand.
I see they moved the charging handle over to the left. What was the reason behind that? Pros and cons?

Could you get your hands on an AS VAL?

hola jason
Hello!
awesome quality weapon from Israel 🇮🇱 👍
It's a nice gun but the only downside to it is the short barrel you sacrifice some range that's an up-close quarters combat gun
That's why these come in different barrel lengths. Choose the size that fits your needs.
This GALIL variant is a bit small.

There are several size barrel lengths of Galil's, this is the Micro Galil.
💯💯💯🔝🔝🔝🔥🔥🔥😎😎😎🇧🇷
