Koi Show Winning Sanke | One year development 2021-2022

This is not just a normal Koi. But you probably have already spotted that! This is the Grand Champion of the Belgian ZNA Koi Show this year. And… also the Grand Champion and winner of the show last year! A Taisho Sanshoku, or simply said a Sanke, in perfect condition. A great body posture, very well conditioned skin. And small sumi spots so deep black that it becomes breath-taking.
Quite unique as well is that we have video footage of exactly the same Sanke of this year, and one year back. So did anything change on this beautiful Sanke? Let’s zoom in a bit and compare!

The color is more intense for sure, 2021 the color looks more orange, 2022 the color is turning more red. Awesome looking koi, thanks for sharing.

Absolutely stunning Sanke, but I think I would prefer the Showa in my pond. A Magnificent bowl of fish. 2022 koi is brighter and has more skin lustre. You can’t see why it’s a winner. Stay safe and well 👍🏻

Haha, that Showa is indeed also a master piece. The Sanke is better in my eyes though, if you compare skin quality and the luster of the skin.

Definitely the Sanka 2022 has more color intensity.
Overall, it is a very beautiful specimen, and a nice Fish for a Koi Pond.

@@Aboutkoi seriously though, I would pay for that service. I love my Koi supplier (Kodama) but they don't offer a 'help me pick'. Lol!! They have some great Japanese Harvest koi. I just couldn't figure out the 'best' one.
