Very interesting and informative listening to your experiences of treating ponds for parasites and knowledge brought back from Japan. Thanks for sharing..😉👍
My pleasure 🙏
I've had some experience's with flicking and flashing fish, in my opinion problems start when adding fish, inadequate filtration, offset water peramiters, and genuinely stressing fish out when fish have a low immune system, I've found the odd fluke in the passed, and treated em, I found it caused more problems, I don't add fish anymore, added a drum and two large bio chambers, my fish have never been better, great video though mate 👍
Thank you, Ricky for a very informative broadcast.
I hope a lot of people get the chance to see this. Your wealth of experience on this subject is a great help for us newcomers.

My pleasure!!
Good one that, plenty of information from someone who actually knows, very useful. Cheers Ricky 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Hiya, what time scale would you suggest leaving between 1st and 2nd treatments for white spot with FMG. 🤔Cheers, 👍
I suggest not using it and using one dose of Colombo FMC-50. If it's not super mature white spot ha wilt embedded in the epidermis it should be gone in one treatment.
What is the best internal bacterial infection medication you prefer ?
Also on the PP 6.8g per 1000 gallons how long do you leave it in till put in the hydrogen peroxide?
You don’t. In my pond I use 13.g per 1000 gallons and leave it in and fish do fine.
@@ivan-ft8kf for about 1-2 hours only?
Just watched... are colombo treatments suitable for soft water, I've been told the fluke treatment I can't use as we have soft water down here in the southwest, What about the others?
You have to be careful with most treatments in soft water. I see now issue with the fluke treatments but you need to be careful with Alparex.
I used the nt labs FMG and after the second treatment the koi that had the costia was dead. Im really think weather to buy an older fish or a tiny 2 incher.
Koi under 10cm can be really difficult and weak.
My fish flicking water parameters fine scraped fish can't find any parasites at all flicking seams variable I think weather and breading cycle I have one female who is full of eggs. I think fish are just a bit seasonally flicking rather than anything being wrong. I have already PP a week or so ago as I had a fish with an infection which is now on the mend.
A change in your incoming water possibly?
Very interesting Ricky! Maybe it’s possible to add chapters to the timeline.
Great stuff ricky , where was your dads shop was it lincolnshire based
It was in Walesby village, Newark and Sherwood District.
