This family has suffered more than their share of broken hearts. First Andy, than their father Hugh, then Maurice all gone within a 14 year stretch... Andy and Maurice far too young to have left so soon... Hugh Gibb mourning the loss of his youngest child. Then Robin dies from Cancer. Barry and Leslie, the 2 oldest Gibb children are all that's left. Thank Goodness Barry and Linda had so many children. And Maurice and Robin had a few. It's keeping this beautiful family's legacy alive.
Its even worse than that, he lost his mother I think 2 years ago, and Michael Jackson and his manager/producer? Robert Stigwood. He released a beautiful video with a song he wrote for MJ with magnificent harmonies by them both and it occurred to me today while I listened to it how he and Micheal were harmonizing and how good it was for Barry, and then I realized MJ is gone too. He said in an interview it took him a decade to deal with all this loss and be at peace with it. It reminds me a bit of the Kennedy's one loss after another.
I can't imagine that either of them could get through that without tears in their eyes. I know "I" was crying. But maybe they've done this enough times now that they don't need to tear up anymore. But the very thing that made me cry was Barry, always being the man that he is, to make sure he takes care of his niece...his brothers daughter...who lost her father way too soon. And I agree that she sings very well.

I couldn't/can't stop the tears watching a brother and a daughter trying to live with their broken hearts. It took so much courage for both of them to make it through that song. My heart goes out to them for the great showmanship! How I miss Maurice and Robin. RIP. Beautiful souls.
