When I visited the shop, Brooklyn General, the Ixchel sweater was on display. I believe the designer owns that store. It was a beautiful masterpiece. I stared at it for quite some time and immediately bought the pattern. I have yet to knit it as I feel so intimidated. Maybe this winter I will tackle it. I will be visiting my sister in Germany in a few weeks so perhaps I will treat myself to yarn for the Ixchel.
I am knitting the Coryn Sweater by Valentina Bogdanova. Currently working on the rib for body with just the sleeves to finish. I'm using supersoft by Holst garn in the colour cranberry. My gauge is off so I've done a bit of maths and knitting a bigger size. I'm also knitting this year's gnomes by Sarah Schira in scrap yarn.
Having knit the night shift I don’t think the mohair would work with your homespun (which is beautiful). I used NORO ITO and two skeins of totally different colors and it was stunning. If you are going for blues, find a similar weight yarn in an another marled or a solid. If another marled you can flip them every 10 sections or so. Wonderful knitting. Your channel just popped up.
Your knitting and choices are always so beautiful! I have 5 or 6 plates of the beautiful Nutiden yarn and am still trying to decide what to make. I hear when using this yarn you need to have a really gentle hand. Maybe just a nice striped raglan sweater . . .
Thank you so much for your kind words! In my experience, holding unspun yarn either double or with a strand of a silk mohair gives you a bit more „wiggle room“.
My three big projects are: a strangebrew with Plötulopi, a self drafted men's cardigan in Manos del Uruguay, and a modified 3 seasons cardigan in lion's brand! I've got a pair of self drafted socks on the needles and a pair of convertible mitts as well.
@@AnnikaScheer haha not really impressive, I just get bored easily! For the mittens, I'm using Mitt10 Convertible and Podster Gloves. :) I really want to cast on the songbird mittens for myself. They are absolutely gorgeous!
GLG. Chrsitine
Hallo liebe Christine, sehr gern geschehen.
@@alexandradegruyter Mine was Livslinje (a lighter version of Apostrof). I do unfortunately have a sad story to tell about my Timepiece cardigan 😥 - I just filmed a new podcast episode in which I share more about it...
@@alexandradegruyter Apostrof is so beautiful! I'm knitting my vintage dress with it and I love how it is turning out. Are you going to hold it single, double or with a silk/mohair?
Such nice and beautiful knitting ideas and inspiration. Where do you buy Sonder Yarn? I'm from Denmark and the import taxes are so high from overseas. Is there ea place in Germany where it's possible to buy it?
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I actually had the Sonder yarn shipped to a friends house in the US and picked it up when we visited them in October.
What are you planning to knit this winter? ❄️

Hi Pia, Thank you so much for sharing! Let me know if you do decide to cast on the Ixchel - then we can motiviate each other. 😊
Greetings from Heidelberg! I am so happy to find your lovely channel and take inspiration from your beautiful knits!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🥰 Liebe Grüße zurück 😉

I adobe Sarah Schiras gnome patterns! I have made at least 6 so far (with the first pattern she came out with). 🎅🏻

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback! You‘re right, I should go with a similar yarn weight. Maybe a greyish blue if I can find it.

Wow, that's quite an impressive list! Are you going to use a pattern for the convertible mitts or are you going to come up with your own?
