I was wondering what seems like the best budget metal yoyo for a person coming from the Sage. I'm interested in getting a yoyo that is great for horizontal play and grinds (both vertically and horizontally). A longer spin time would also help but is not needed. Thanks!

Is the yomega glider good for 5a? I just ordered one from your site, and was curious to know.

I notice the 'ultraweight' can move freely across the string - unless i'm missing something? has that ever come as a problem while using it? have you thought of maybe taking advantage of that at times to do some tricks?
+Thomas Roe During normal play the force of the movement always keeps the counterweight on the end of the string, and the bead inside the bearing keeps it locked in place besides that. The UltraWeight can do tricks with the counterweight in the center of the string as well, if you are interested in that.

I hear the shutter is unresponsive. I was researching dark magic 2 and one of the great features was that it comes with 2 bearings (unresponsive, and responsive) does the shutter also come with 2 bearings?
+Cameron Heyward No, but the Shutter Yoyo Competition Pack comes with a KonKave bearing for keeping the string centered better and spinning the yoyo more smoothly. The Shutter alone comes with one unresponsive bearing.
+Cameron Heyward If you are looking for a yoyo that comes with 2 bearings, one for responsive, one for unresponsive, you could always take a look at the yoyos in our starter section of our store. All of them are less expensive than the Dark Magic 2, they all come responsive, and all can be upgraded to play unresponsive. The DV888 unresponsive pro pack is a good option if you would like a metal yoyo.

What I'm trying to ask is what are the differences between the shutter and the dv88, I want something that won't hold me back, but if I could put a responsive bearing on the shutter, that would be great.
The shutter does not take slim bearings, which is what most yoyos use to play responsive. The bearing seat is too tall so the bearing does not fit. The DV888 is not a full sized yoyo, however, which can make more advanced tricks difficult.
How do I get the bead out of the ultraweight?

#1 What lube(s) should I use? Because it has a knob where you can switch from unresponsive to responsive. And how should I use that/those lubes? Or should I even use lube?

+gbro10playsminecraft That yoyo uses Thin Yoyo Lube. Put in a very small amount and it should still work for both responsive and unresponsive play. We are planning to do a Velocity review in the future, but I am not sure when that will be released.
So just apply it how though? Cause it's not like a normal yoyo since it has the dial from unresponsive to responsive.

I just got into 5a and im using a shutter, is that fine? also I wish there was a soft/cushioned version of the yotricks counter weight so that my shutter doesnt get damaged much ;-;
+Nam Van If you want to get into 5a it is best to get used to the idea of your yoyo getting damaged. If it isn't the counterweight it will be the floor, or your walls, etc. If you want to get better at 5a you will need to take risks, which means that you will be dropping your yoyo quite a bit.
Can you just attach a counterweight to any yoyo to use it for 5A or do you need a special yoyo too?

I have sage pro can you pls recommend a good plastic unresponsive yoyo which will complement it and help learn other tricks and diversify my collection.
+Raman Deep Singh I would recommend any of the yoyos in our Unresponsive Plastic Category. They are all excellent and will play much different than the Sage. My first choice would either be the Replay Pro or the Freehand Pro.

ok,so I have a normal dice which I want to use as my counter weight. could I dill a hole through it and then use that dice as my counterweight? if so could you please tell me the sixe of the hole?

for the ultra weight is the bead suposed to fit all the way in the bearing? i cant get the bead to fit inside the bearing. I for sure have the small end leading to the bearing but it wont fit all the way flush

Using the 2nd method to put a counterweight on your string, is it possible to remove the counterweight without removing the string from the yoyo?

Just bought the canon! Is the bead supposed to go all the way in and sit inside the bearing? Cause mine doesn't fit inside the bearing. Should I file it or leave it like that?

+FireHeart Playz Tilting has to do with how you throw a yoyo, and it has nothing to do with the yoyo itself. Yoyos become responsive over time if they are not properly lubed. You never see mistakes in our videos... because we edit them out.
The lube I use is long spin performance yoyofactory lube would that work for a nonresponsive yoyo

+garansbabarans It all depends on what you are interested in. Personally I am working on tricks in 1a, 2a, 4a, and 5a, so I don't see much need in limiting yourself to one or two styles at a time ;)
I meant more the two hands aspect of it, but thinking about it, it wasn't that great of a question on my part.
Working on either 5a or 2a would help with that. I feel like going with what is most interesting to you will yield the best results.

+Tony Vera You can lube the bearing with thick yoyo lube, which will make it play a little responsive, but not as responsive as a yoyo designed to play responsive.

Is this new delrin dice smthing like matsuura? I cant really get delrin one :c, while matsura shouldnt be that hard. I was always throwing on duncan balls.

Im not able to buy it ( the shipping + its price will be sooo high for Poland for a CW). So im basically stuck between takeshi dice and normal balls :S
