I don't exactly know how to phrase this, but this piece is just really, really, refined and exquisite. Even though their styles are not the same, this piece makes me feel like when I listen to Mompou or traditional Japanese music. Perfection.
I think it is because of the patterns here featured by Caplet, with the doux harp and a crystalline melody for the sonnet's words. I suggest, following this direction, the CD "Mouvance: Musique française pour harpe et chant" with Sakuya Koda and Chantal Matthieu.
