I've come across these brushless systems while browsing on Temu. They both seem to perform decent for the low price. Those F540 motors are really just a 2845 can with some cooling fins to give it that impression of 540 size, while that other motor you had is a proper 3650/540 size. Cheers for sharing bro 👍
Yeah the one with the fins isn't really a 540 size, which surprised me when it ran the slash up to 57 MPH actually. It was hot but it was also overgeared for the KV so that's forgivable. But yes, overall, for the cost they absolutely performed as described and a bit better than I was expecting. Apparently they are programmable as well, though I haven't tried it yet.
I got this same kit from the jungle site. The green version and i put in in a wl buggy with stock gearing and with the built in fan it does stay cool and with running various 2s 100c packs it runs all day no issue. Than I put ten 3s 100c packs through it and the esc burnt out on the 10th pack. I did put a fan on the motor and the motor is fine. For only $50 and it being from the jungle site and only having it for about 2 weeks. I was able to return on the esc and get credit towards more parts!
Ya I learned you have use less volts than esc rated for longevity and cheaper escs it’s more imperative, anouther fan on esc you maybe got ten more packs
I really appreciate that, thank you! For the price, the systems performed well. They got a bit hot, but I was running them over geared so it's forgivable
That park is very RC friendly so far. It also has great nature features for bashing, going fast, catching air, and racing. Pretty much everything is doable there.
Thank you! For the price I really can't complain. They performed well and pushed two big name full bodied RC trucks to impressive speeds in the heat and didn't seem to be all that bothered being over geared.
I’ve been thinking of buying a gorgon and make it brushless. Would you recommend to buy a esc+motor from Temu if I can find the right size and kv etc? So much cheaper than from other placea
Thank you for giving me the confidence that when my hair is back in a ponytail, there will be others trying to pull it off with a way worse hair line 😂😂😂
You really cant buy much for $40 now days. I'm actually in the market for a new motor and ESC for a 1/12 scale and this is perfect. The nice case it comes with would be perfect for protecting my action cam in transport. Is there a program button on either ESC? The fan cover looks like it might be aluminum but even if it's plastic the design looks better than the spectrum fan guard that bends real easy and impedes the fans operation. Very enjoyable video by the way. 👍👍
For anything 1/12 scale they would be ideal. I'd actually recommend the motor with the fins for that size rx. It's not a proper 540 sized motor, but the RPM's were certainly there.
For a car with a small wheelbase, a gyro helps them big time when going fast. With larger scale cars, especially ones low to the ground, it's not necessarily needed, but can be helpful. Most of the time I don't actually run a gyro, but from time to time I will, especially on dirt.
What? That's there's really no such thing and It's mostly all the same manufacturers for multiple name brands? We do know that, we just actively forget.
Well that may be. But even Traxxas parts are made in China. It almost doesn't matter what you buy or who you buy it from, somewhere, somehow down the line, China gets paid. But that's capitalism. China capitalized manufacturing, and all our big corporations that we rely on and say we love so much pays them to do it. If Traxxas doesn't mind paying China for parts, I guess I don't either. Traxxas and Arrma pay them much more than I do though. I mean, you could always just make the stuff yourself right? Or can you? You can't buy anything without China getting paid, but guess what, we still get paid too. Again, that's capitalism, it's great when you're the one winning isn't it?
@@GrandPitoVic I don't necessarily like it. But I understand it. It's just how capitalism works. Sometimes you're riding the bull, sometimes you're getting trampled by it. It's also why I never worry about the USA and China ever going to war though, both countries absolutely depend on each other to stay afloat. They need our business, and we need their manufacturing. In a way, it ensures no conflicts get out of hand, and also forces partnership.
Not necessarily. I like things that work well for low cost. Not all that concerned where it comes from. If you make one as good or better for the same or less money. Let me know, I'll pick one up.

I agree, the torque wasn't really there, but the speed sure was. The proper 540 sized can had a bit more than the other in torque though.
First... the hairstyle got you looking like a 90's villain from a Jean Claude Van Damme movie. Second that was an epic run.
😂😂😂 He deff does
I've been called Terry Silver a time or two hahaha
You just new to program your ESC and turn off the drag brake, that will correct your instant brake when letting off the throttle.
I just bought a 20t motor and brushed ESC from TEMU. For like $20 shipped. I havnt had time to assym it yet.
The cheap brushless system motors are all great. Some of the esc’s aren’t great but this looks like a solid setup
Yep, so far so good. We'll see how long they last

Like you channel Bro! So i was just thinking... can you not put fans on slash motors? Because of the why the motor is mounted?
That was epic. Awesome buy .
Awesome channel. Thanks for sharing.

Those motor are amazing and durable , i higly suggest to invest in high quality not offbrand esc.. u will end up spend double to get a decent one..
Yeah, not bad at all. Really a neat place y'all have to run at.

those systems seem ok 👍 excellent test and brilliant ripping 👍👍👍😎

Dude u should try tho losi tenacity sct if u like scts
Oh, that's going to happen. I've always heard losi Short Course trucks are fantastic.
@@Rek_Rc Try the Tekno SC410 as well and have a big 4wd SCT smash off
I would only use temu on an old cellphone with no data on it.
Anyway, fun test! These combos are generally excellent fun.
Hahahaha. I appreciate you watching and the comment buddy!
I was a bit worried about data collection as well

Funny you'd say that. I plan on putting one in my gorgon too

What about that drag break thing? Do they have a program card?
Yes, I forgot to mention there are program cards available for them. The other ESC on the Traxxas was set perfectly.
Are they 5mm shafts on the motors?
No those ones were 3mm. 5 mm shaft motor might be a bit much for a 60A ESC at those RPM.
Hey man, have you been getting my emails? No big deal but I sent you two in the past month or so and didn’t hear back. 👍
I got one this morning but I was heading to work. I'm not sure I got the earlier one though but I'll go through and get back to you tonight buddy
Pretty much, Temu is just cutting out the 20 middle men and the cost is way lower. Basically just missing the stickers the big companies put on them.
I am New. Do you need a Gyro on fast vehicles like this ? I need to get the wife a speedy basher or trophy truck.

@@Rek_Rc OK Awesome. Thank you so Much. I seen them on Drift cars before is why ask. I love those Trophy trucks.
The real Q is how they managed to make that for only $40
No idea, but very good question.
If everyone only knew the truth behind name brands 😐
