Much true. Few bands have that power with vocals and a uniqueness to the whole. The only other example that comes to mind is Incubus (tho admittedly being a different...concept in and of itself).
Jamel, Jamel, Jamel...your channel should be blowing up. Multiple songs from the same artist (great artists, smart choices), reviewed with enthusiasm and an open mind, and dude, I can't tell you how many of my favorites you've reintroduced me to in the last 6 months. Appreciate what you do, and hope that you'll keep doing it your way. 100K is coming, and hoping for 1M like my man NoLifeShaq. Good luck, brother!
System Of A Down released 5 legendary records between 1998 and 2005. They didn't release new music since then but the fanbase has growing stronger over the years.
Serj and daron both had solo careers as well. Serj produced 3 albums and daron's 'Scars on Broadway' band produced 3 or 4 albums. Should check them out, some of it's different..
I hope they don’t get back together. It would be so damn depressing if they didn’t live up to the expectations which are now beyond anyones limitations. Let the legends stay legends.
Thank you brother for your apology though not needed. Your appreciation of metal comes across in every video and we appreciate it. Metal is not noise!!!!!!! Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution!!!!!
Story time. This is my favorite SOAD song if I had to pick just one, for the simple fact that it brings me back to a time and place that isn’t even real. I was at this point in my life where I faced two roads. One of them chasing after a person who I loved dearly but was in active addiction, and the other the painful road of walking away. Ultimately I chose the latter, but this whole scenario played out in my mind if I had chosen to go down the dark path with this person, and for whatever reason this song was the soundtrack that just brings me back so vividly to when I made that decision to walk away (it’s sunset, I’m driving down Gum Spring Road, it’s the first chilly day of October). But I knew deep down that road would lead to death. And in a way that’s what the song is about. Just sitting in your car, waiting for your significant other, blind to all else going on in the world. For a long time this was the only song I knew how to play on guitar, and funny enough, years after walking away from the person I loved, I decided to do some volunteer work in Palestine. And the place where I stayed had a guitar. So there I sat on a rooftop in one of the most contentious places in the world playing Hypnotize by System of a Down, because I am not blind to all the things going on in the world, since I walked away from the thing that was hypnotizing me. All that to say, I love seeing people react to my favorite band and appreciate their depth. Keep on.
Years ago, my now husband (then boyfriend) used to pick up me up from work and every day he would blast this song. Together we came to a moment when we had to make a choice in which direction we were going to go in life. This song is a piece of the soundtrack of my life as well. I find it kismet that people would have serious life moments that a specific song would be on their soundtrack and it be the same. I wish you all the best. in life.
As someone who has been watching many of your vids lately, THIS is the video where you earned my sub. Great job and I thouroughly enjoy watching your reactions.
System is just the coolest band out there man. Everything about them just says cool. They also have the best fan base. They GET IT at live concerts haha. It’s great.
Me and my old man were at this show. Our first SOAD concert in grand rapids. First time they ever played this song live and some of the first to hear it before the album dropped. They actually played it twice recording film for the video. Takes me back. Love your reaction vids man
Empty walls is the only song i've heard from serj's solo career and it's pretty great. But honestly i prefer whoring streets by daron and scars on broadway.
Not sure what i am enjoying more, your reactions to all these songs and bands, your introduction to these bands or me revisiting all these great songs and bands again like i am also listening to them for the first time. Either way loving the videos brother
Anytime I get on a “reaction” kick I always check your channel to see if you’ve seen a certain song I like. I don’t know what you do differently, but I freaking love your channel bro. Just awesome all around man.
I'm normally watching David Attenborough documentaries or some story about people who have broke the twine of normalcy at this point of my buzz. Here I am. You kick ass at this.
Deftones are amazing and a genre on their own! Check out their songs Change, Rosemary, Royal or Cherry Waves (all from different albums), i will stay tuned for more!
You gotta try out Serj's solo stuff! My personal favorite "Lie Lie Lie." If you're a Game of Thrones fan, he also did "Rains of Castemere" for the show.
Hard rock and metal fans are a very accepting bunch. Don't matter what you look like, how old you are, where you are from or anything like that. I'm enjoying your reactions to a varied range in music. I'm glad that there are open mind reactors, like you in this world.
My favorite song by them. I always wish it was longer - the harmonies and incredible change ups are just so insane. Great pick and reaction. Happy Thanksgiving 💜🙏😻💜
I enjoy that you actually appreciate the music for what it is. No matter what genre or how weird it gets. You find something to be like "yes, I like that."
Highway Song, i-e-a-i-a-i-o, Mr. Jack, Roulette. In a lot of ways these guys are very similar to Rage against the Machine. Great reactions, love your vids. I hope you watch more of these guys

Deftones You've seen the Butcher Deftones Bored Deftones Change Many others are great, but these are my favorites. Great rythm section on the guitar and powerful vocals and lyrics are on point

I was suggesting 2 heavy songs and 2 melodic songs, or whatever you would call them. Also, old and new tracks. 7 words, engine no.9, head up are great songs. You could ask 100 deftones fans for 4 tracks and you would probably get 100 different combinations
Your words are much appreciated, no need for the apologies. Rock music sometimes can be overwhelming, and take a bit to process, but once you get the hang of it you can see how much the artists put into their work. You should definitely get into Deftones now.

I love every bit of rap from pac to g herbo to nip, but nothin hits like some solid metallica, slipknot, or system. There is just something so synthetic and artificial about hip hop, metal is just so fucking RAW🤘🤘the instruments just give it life where a beat mix cant.
Hey much so much for your apology, I can't tell u how many times I would be headbanging and people would look at me like I was crazy , but now you know why, because your open minded and decided to let the music take u where it may

No need to apologize my man. You're no more guilty than any other who hasn't taken the time to actually LISTEN to heavy metal music. Most are told "It's the devil's music" or "it's for nothing but low-lifes" and they don't give it a chance. Most of the content deals with very real problems like drugs, war, crime, suicide, government, etc. Some such as a band I like called Allegaeon even deal with black holes, A.I., aliens, etc. (they call it "nerd metal" LOL). I love your reaction man! So genuine lol Check out Serj Tankian(singer of System) solo stuff he did after they broke up. Empty walls is a really really good song!
I appreciate how you post a bunch of reactions in one sitting of the same artist. No one else does it like that
👍🏾
Precisely.
And also doesn't talk over the music or pause a lot which is great

He is one of my favorites. He has one of the most unique voices I think I've heard.
he really is
Yeah, his voice is unique and awesome
I would agree but I can’t listen to his solo albums for some reason however SOAD is my favorite band of all time

Seriously, most reactors just skim the surface of a genre, he does a deep dive on every band. It's the best.

Spiders, Soldier Side, ATWA, Forest, Question, Prison Song, Cigaro.
So many great songs
The Eastern European influences in their music always reminds me of the music you hear at, Cirque du Soleil. SO GOOD!!!!!

Hey man, You gotta love the Armenian style of music. They go from melodic to insanely fast. That's the way it is.
My man, you are a pure soul. Your appreciation for music and other people’s taste is the exact reason I like you.
Serj has a solo career worth taking a look at. 'Empty Walls' would work.
Not to mention Daron's project, Scars on Broadway.
