- The Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake released bodycam footage of a 4-year-old boy shooting his father's gun at officers in a McDonald's parking lot on February 21, 2022. The incident began when the boy's father threatened restaurant employees with a gun in the drive-thru because his order was messed up. When officers arrived, they began detaining the man when his 4-year-old boy grabbed his gun and shot at officers. An officer noticed the boy pointing the gun toward other officers and hit it, causing the bullet to strike the side of the building, reports say. The father was later convicted of child abuse and assault for this incident.

Dad of the year, right there. He didn't even ask if his kids were okay when a shot rang out from inside his car. Tells you alot!
Worse than that ... he acts unconscious
He probably told the kid to shoot at the cops, like a coward
@Just Looking That's because he probably doesn't care about the kids.
Guaranteed he told the kid to shoot the gun, probably setting up the police for a CNN bashing or for the kid to be a martyr, good thing they were able to see the kid and didn't think it was an adult
They said he was unresponsive, idk if he was acting or not but that's what I heard. 🤷

So getting on one’s knees, closing the eyes, both hands together, and close to the face; then, talking quietly (not out loud; or perhaps out loud, either way), talking to yourself (convincing yourself that you’re talking to God, but in reality, you’re talking to an imaginary friend) and wishfully thinking self-talking, asking for favors (like a dirty guy standing at an intersection asking for money because his written sign says, “homeless and hungry, please help with anything”), asking for favors from God (this God must be truly magical because he [apparently, is a person with a penis, called a man/male] can hear several millions of people from all parts of the world, asking/begging for favors in different languages mind you…talk about multi-tasking, that’s truly miraculous, magical, fantastic; however, he lets a lot of people down, time and time again, he doesn’t answer their “prayers” (self-induced mental illness), that’s exactly what it is in reality…am I wrong or am I correct in applying common sense or logic to the situation?
So this whole exercise makes absolutely zero sense for it’s all based on trickery (like a 3-card game) from the Middle East, a place that’s despicable, smells of garlic big time, a place so utterly horrific flying a kite can get your head chopped off; a place where men wear dresses, and are at war (for hundreds of years) against each other because their imaginary friends are better than the other’s; and they are also at war against foreigners (they call it holy-war sometimes; another bit of logic here, how can war be holy?)…again, it’s the Middle East, where the men are cross-dressers, wear sandals 24/7, eat bread made out of sand, and hate women (it’s a place where both men and women shop for the same dresses, but at different stores; I’m lost for logic or common sense here)!
So yeah, carry on I guess, spend the rest of your life talking to imaginary friends and inducing mental illness upon oneself! And I’ll just keep applying logic to everything in life, enjoying it, being kind to everyone regardless whether a person has a penis or a vagina! Yep, and we’re civilized aren’t we, of course we are…and the year is 2022, not 2022 BC (perhaps someone else can apply logic to BC), I’m tired and going to bed…good night fellow human-beings of the western culture where men typically don’t wear dresses, and are supposed to be kind to women! Can I get an Amen!!! Hands together when saying Amen, please and thank you; perhaps (just maybe), you should thank me for setting your mind free, actually making you live in reality, and in 2022!!! YOU ARE MOST WELCOME!!!
I thought you yanks condoned guns? This is what happens when they easily accessible.
Oh he's def gonna have mad charges. Not sure what charge would befit a child shooting his parents gun at police....but I'm thinking possibly a charge in the effect of contributing to the delinquency of a minor or even some kind of attempted murder charge somehow worked in. Crazy
'breaks my heart!
Oh my God these poor kids they had to watch their dad go through this. This is so traumatizing for them what a bad father that would allow this to happen I'm disgusted why would you put your kids through this and leave a loaded firearm next to them or they can gain access to it.
Sounds like he didn’t just leave it with them but actually allegedly told the 4 year old to fire at the cops.
Ridiculous… for those praising the child… it’s sickening. Any good father would have never threatened anyone with a gun especially in front of them. Complying means opening the door and stepping out of the vehicle as instructed to avoid putting his children in further danger. Entitled people with guns. Shameful! So many people could have been killed including the kids all because a “Dad” felt his McDonalds order was wrong!
The ultimate ‘Un-Happy Meal’
SYou are so right, kids need to be taken away!!!
Exactly where are people praising the child? Are you a BOT or just virtue signalling. I went thru all 868 comments and NOT 1 PRAISED THE CHILD.
RUclips censorship. Anything that isnt pro police "suck off the cops and fund their nmachine guns purchases" gets censored.
When he made threats to McDonalds staff the children were present and also knowing he had a gun that was in the children's reach is horrific. He needs an CPS investigation because this incident can be deemed as neglectful poor supervision, injurious environment and child endangerment. These charges are just for starters because the criminal charges will follow. Anyone who feels this incident is justified is at a minimal a mentally deprived individual.😬 Got to pray for these babies. 🙏
I don't imagine he still had custody after this.... Pick a reason.
Mind y'all business y'all don't know what really happen fr

Everything you said is pretty much spot on..
@@romemchp9516 We saw what happened from multiple angles. It's our business absolutely - this happened in PUBLIC.
How serious it is when coos see you've actually been through everything your saying and showing them you have been doing this since a child and need help
All kids deserve parents but not all parents deserve children
My heart breaks for those cops . I'm sure once they realized it was a child they realized they had to immediately risk their life to save that child who fired the gun at them . God bless them.
They should be doing and handling it the exact same way if it's someone else. My heart does NOT go out to them. THEY signed up for this. And even worse, THEY invalidly roughed that man up and pulled him out of the car, jumping ontop of him with multiple guns pointed on him, WHILE he had his hands up and following their instructions to get out of the car. Which = why did they still proceed to rough him up, pull and throw him on the ground, etc? Exactly........and all in front of his kids.
Now, as kids, you see this happening to your father, WITH these same people pointing guns at him..........HOW DOES THAT NOT explain why these kids shot the gun?!
Let's go even further and use a very real example of "what if those weren't even real cops, but impersonators who just had the uniforms, and even the car, but were there to rob or kill the man.............would it be crazy for the kid(s) to see that and shoot? You would HOPE that they would shoot and kill who's there to kill their father.
Too many mistakes in this situation, and too many at the hand of these "cops". Furthermore, if this were you, and you were innocent, and this happened in front of your kids, I guarantee your heart wouldn't be breaking for those cops! It would be breaking for YOUR OWN self, your OWN trauma, and the trauma that they bestowed upon your kids that may stay with them for the rest of their lives. Why isn't your heart breaking for THESE things?
@@DrMathOfficial your comment is way too long bro I'm sorry I don't got time to read all that but I agree I didn't understand why they manhandled hb. But as far as someone shooting at them no I don't think anyone other than a tiny child shooting at them or any human being is excusable and should always be handled delicately. Tf.... unless it's a Itty bitty kid who definitely didn't know what they were doing
Na cops are still corny
@@DrMathOfficial They didn't sign up for this. Outside of Military no ones signs up yo be shot at. Law Enforcement is mainly that law enforcement. They're not taking the oath to risk dying. Some people just value you order and want to be in a position to help keep order.
People like you are the reason we even have situations like this. This man left a gun with an actual child. This man that you feel the need to speak on behalf of. This man that you don't know. This man that you'd probably never ever meet in your existence because you have no idea what communities are like where idiots like these thrive. And people like you sit online virtue signaling how good a person you are and how good you think people shouldn't be.
Why aren't you out here maintaining order in our society? Why aren't you in communities where children are put in danger like this saving their lives? Is it because you're afraid? Do you feel the people in these communities can't be trusted? Do you feel like the communities aren't good enough? Maybe invest in these communities to give people jobs so they can do something with their lives.
@@kristinalozano7891 they are nice.
Dis-Gus-ting. Those poor, poor kids. I’ve never seen anything like that. Wouldn’t even have imagined it. Thankfully these were good police who didn’t just start popping off in the car after the shot.
Was thinking same thing. I'm super surprised the kids aren't dead. I (sadly) fully expected the cops to all unload their magazines into that car.
That's because the news media only shows stories about bad cops or cops that are poorly trained or cops who in a split second have to make a life or death decision! And the press gets more viewers if they make a shooting controversial! I saw a story about a month ago, the family and the news station were reporting about how the cops gunned down an innocent unarmed man. They police released the body cams, and the suspect wasn't unarmed and not very innocent! No retraction, No apologies!
Gus-tavo fring
Amurica!!
No cop or person would've started shooting back at a little kid like that. I'm sorry but that's the dumbest statement I've seen in a very long time
over food, is that really a good reason to put yourself in jail for lifetime??
OMG!!! I felt so bad for those babies😭😭
This guy should lose custody of his kid! Allowing a 4 year old access to a firearm? What a sorry excuse for a parent!
And he pulled the gun on McD’s employees for messing up his order! Disgusting behaviour to teach your kids!
I mean I get it,but he is still a kid and his dad was clearly setting a horrible example of how to act when things dont go your way to his son.
i mean there are men trying to drag his dad out of his own car, the son was just protecting his dad from assault and kidnapping
@@Sealust50 it doesnt matter if it was or not. Grabbing him from his own car and putting him on the ground tied up against his will is assault and kidnapping

Just unbelievable. Glad no one was hurt.
Did they say the “Dad” was unresponsive and to call EMS a short time after he was pulled out of the car? Drugs?
Poor kids! Wtf so sickening what they’ve lived through and experienced in their short lives.
Unreal
There may be many reasons he was unresponsive; diabetes, heart attack, stroke...we don't have to jump to conclusions
I think so. That’s why dads whole body was blurred instead of just his face.

wow, having a gun out where the kids could get it is pathetic.
The poor child’s ears are probably ringing, banging & he doesn’t know why. Oh my God. Of all the videos I’ve seen, this is the most heart breaking. That poor poor baby. The police so endangered. Lord help that child be placed in the hands of truly good, loving people who don’t just want a foster check!
That is so insanely traumatic for them. I could never do something like that to my son, god. That was awful.
6:30 this guy is a hero, nobody seems to be noticing it but that guy saved them
I cannot believe that father was so calm and collected When his son is involved with a shootout with the police.
There was no shoot out, only one shot was fired, how was that a shoot out?
Those kids need to be taken away, he shouldn't be brainwashing his kids and have access to guns at that age
Definitely sooner rather then later
I can assure you he didn’t get that gun by filling out a 4470…….
@I Am Retired you know there is criminal records online from this video and searching his name shows he hates police, so not surprising he's teaching his son to hate police too. Do research, Smh

@Mark L You like people who shoot at police that are doing nothing wrong?
Yeah, this was absolutly disgusting
I give the officer INSANE credit.. he could’ve shot into that car and been totally justified, he was smart enough and had the awareness to hold fire. Just an insane situation
Exactly what I was thinking I watch alot of these videos on RUclips and usually when a shots fired they open fire just out of instant it's a training response I'm very appreciative of these officers awareness this is just crazy
I agree 👍🏾
The cop who was by the car and pushed the gun to the side just prior to it being fired highly likely saved lives. He's a real hero!
All of the team in this situation worked together very professionally and effectively. Much respect for them!

@@broperfect7669 No man, the dad however might have been charged for it..
I think that the credit is sane.
Now you see why cops have to treat everybody like a possible threat. Letting their gaurd down on a four year old almost cost an officer.
Props to cops.
These officers did an amazing job. Always easy to criticize cops in general, but shots fired from a vehicle with dark tinted windows, decision making becomes very difficult, can't tell it's little kids. Hats off to how they handled everything.
It's amazing that he wasn't scared of the gun at that young of an age, tells you a lot about the parenting of the parents
His daddy holds it up all the time in pictures along with his drug money
@@jacobfromallstate4963 you have pictures? can you show something?
Don't think you need to be afraid of guns at that age. They're all over tv and in movies. What tells you a lot about their parenting is that a 4 year old got ahold of the gun easily and was able to fire it at someone.

What a terrible father. I have been shaking my head thru this whole video. I don't even have the words.
