The s in 's Hertogenbosch is merged when pronounced, like the 's in s'mores becomes smores. And in the process the h is dropped.

's Hertogenbosch or Den Bosch for short literally means the Duke's Forrest, Hertog=Duke and Bosch=Forrest
Same with The Hague, Den Haag or 's-Gravenhage. It means the count's hague, forrest or garden. Graaf=Count and Haag=garden

We did this. We went to Duinrell first then onto Efteling using bus & train. It was so easy to do!
