I have had the same experience as you did immediately after connecting- it disconnects and I have to Connect again - after that it seems very stable... I would love to see Zebras and Focus peaking (neither of which seem to be included at this point...) Great FREE software overall!
sony implemented waveform and false color in an official app? thats quite unexpected. nice. maybe this one supports stabilization? when i used monitorplus, that app didnt at least on an a6400 (it disabled stabe when recording, and had to be disconnected prior to starting recording - i used cable - if stabe was wanted)
Was just about to make a similar video, updated my fx30 last night as I wanted to use my iphone 13 as a wireless monitor without stutter (turns out I just needed to change the camera wifi setting to 5ghz), app works fine but I think the focus contorl takes up too much space. BUT the main thing I found is that suddenly third party batteries were forcing an error message on the fx30 which I never had before, you can continue to use the battery after pressing ok but it removes the percentage left indicator so you have no idea when the camera will switch off. I really wish sony mentioned in their documentation this "feature" with this firmware!
i wish it would work with a usb cable so that there would be no lag but apparently it's only available for FX6 ?

Unfortunately no peaking or zebras.
Nobody is showing the procedure for cable connecting the FX3 to an Iphone....
