it's official. either Low EMS Destroy(Shepard dies) or High EMS Destroy(Shepard survives) is the canon ending. fuck. this is like a dream come true. like being reunited with family after a long and arduous journey.

I thought it was the citadel too but I’m sure it’s the destroyed mass relay, maybe the Local cluster relay.

I am as excited as you are just because SHEPARD !!
Now that I've calmed down and regained control of my lungs I realise there's some speculation here that's off the mark. From what I've been reading and some of the audio clues in the beginning of the trailer, it look like this'll be set a good ways after the original trilogy. So probably no Shepard (since there's too many endings where they do in fact die) but Krogan and Asari can live for hundreds of years so...maybe our sweet son Grunt will make an appearance?
ALSO for those bothered by the picture quality (like me), I'll be back using a proper camera soon- the webcam is just for the next little while!
Here's what we know for sure.
1. That's obviously Liara.
2. Dead Reapers are shown ( Destroyed ending canon? )
3. Michael Gabon has confirmed on twitter that two galaxies were shown INTENTIONALLY.
4. It has also been said that Andromeda isn't being ignored nor forgotten
5. During the ending of Mass Effect 3 we see the ''Stargazer'' scene in which confirmation was given that there was at least one more story about Shepard.
Based on those things we can speculate what this upcoming installment is about. One of the speculation going around has to do with the Legendary Edition. People are guessing that it might come with updated endings to better connect with this upcoming game. I'm also not fully convinced that the game entirely takes place in the future. Some of the things in the trailer seem contradictory to each other. For example we see a older looking Liara walking on dead Reapers but i don't see why those Reapers would still be present hundreds of years into the future. Even though the Destroy ending is grim you can hear Admiral Hackett talking about rebuilding and i don't think they'll leave dead Reapers on the ground unless this planet is abandoned.
So i think a portion of the game might take place some time after the ending. Detailing Shepard's last journey. This would allow Bioware to give fans a satisfying conclusion to his story while also bringing back classic characters. After that we'll probably get a time jump with a older Liara who's bridging the gap between the milky way and Andromeda.
@@CarlosHuiskens IDK if some dead reapers indicate destroy ending, in all endings some of them die anyway, and Bioware must be crazy if they do some ending cannon, after all mass effect is about choices, doing that would obliterate the concept.

This was exactly my reaction. I cried for 10 minutes, after I heard the Reaper call. When I saw the N7 plate I lost it. I just want to know if Shepard and the crew found each other again. I waited 8 years, heartbroken! I need to know!

We fans waited for so long for this and I think we will get. Just wish bioware won't ruin Mass Effect this time. I hope they bring our Mass Effect story and everything and every feel again. I want to believe them and give them chance to redeem theirself.
In this teaser we understand that destroy ending is the canon ending. You see that ruins of mass relay ( I thouht that is Citidal's wreckage) and if you didn't recognize when Liara walking there was a dead reaper in the background and Liara was was walking on the dead reaper too. I don't know will it be continue with Shaperd's story or his crew friends. if not I'm ok with that I just want the old mass effect feels, amazing story telling and the vibes. I cried too. I was already beyond happy with the remakes, and I was hopeful it meant something more. What a great time to be alive.

This trailer legit gave me chills. We can only pray/hope whatever may be the case for each of us that EA does not place the final nail in Bioware's coffin and puts out an amazing game this time.

I love that you know about the First Contact War!!!! Also, do you think that the destruction ending is going to be canon bc of the Relays being ruined and Sheps armor being there?
Shepard died once before and all that did was piss her off. And do you think the Shadow Broker wouldn’t have a backup plan?
Imagine if the game is that you have to repair the relays and slowly reunite with your original teammates as you open up new systems.
I have only recently started playing the games. Curently I'm in the beginning of ME3. Before starting i had heard a SPOILER that the main character does not survive in the end, so that was/is kind of a bummer and it almost made me not want to play the games. SPOILER ENDS.
I am so glad that i decided to play them, because they are outstanding. When i saw this trailer announcement honestly I started jumping up and down, can't imagine what it's like for fans that have been with the games for years. Incredible. Oh and the remaster announcement as well ... I mean I think i picked a good time to play the games :)

I get why people feel that way about the Destroy ending, but I just can't be okay with tossing EDI (after helping her grow & develop) or the Geth (after brokering peace between them & the Quarians) aside.

You can't tell me that if put to it, and developing a way to import/otherwise account for all ME3 endings, Bioware couldn't come up with a way to bring Shepard back from either the Control or Synthesis ending.
The Citidael? I have thought 1:28 could be Normandia between ME1 and 2.
