maizeman90 well for one thing it’s something that was present in past halo games and some of the power behind halo infinite specifically is going back to some of the roots of the halo series. Another thing is that overall it’s convenient even if the amount of people who will use it is a minority (although I doubt that the amount of people is as small as you are implying).

Jaby, a few things: - 343i acknowledged that the story in Halo 5 wasn't great, and that they understand people want to play as Master Chief, not some other guy for half the store. So I wouldn't worry about that in this game. - Split-screen co-op is definitely happening, and I think they even confirmed 4-player. - You'll want to know what happened in Halo 5 for this story, so just watch one of those RUclips videos that cut all of the cutscenes together into a "movie" of sorts.

Now if you stopped playing Guardians cause of the story then I wouldn't blame you. But you really couldn't just get through the first mission cause you wanted to play as Chief? Okay.
Sometimes I forget that I actually played and beaten halos 1 through 4. Couldn’t tell what they were about but always really enjoyed 4 and Reach. IMO 4 campaign has great pacing. It was just fun campaign to play. No boring moments from I remembered.
In halo 5 they removed split screen because having split screen could freeze the game or force quit many times, so they removed it. Also in multiplayer they sacrificed graphics resolution for bigger maps and teams
Jaby if you're not interested playing the without master chief , I suggest you to watch halo 5 cinematic cutscenes ,you'll enjoy that atleast ,its great in terms of story orientation

No you dont. You play as Master chief 3 out of 15 missions! The rest you play as fireteam osiris and 3 of those missions aren't even missions their like 2 minute Intel collecting missions. Halo 5 has a really good "Story" but its executed so stupid by not letting you play as chief thet much.
You do know you don’t have to play as master chief all the time. I liked the idea you could play different characters halo 5 just didn’t implement it too good. But you didn’t just play chief in halo 2 so I don’t know what your on about.
Shame you got into it late, but you should know: most people who are longtime fans really dislike Halo 4 and 5, especially 5, because of those new features being introduced (sprint, armour abilities, not being de-scoped when getting shot, loadouts, etc.). Mostly Halo 4's dislikes were due to the multiplayer side of things, because it was just TOO off base for what Halo had established itself as for over 10 years and three games. But people also really disliked the art style. Graphics were good, but stylistic choices and overall theme was just too... un-Halo. Halo 5 was just terrible for all the reasons you can think of. Everything was just... bad. Way too off mark, and while multiplayer could be fun at times, it just was NOT Halo and definitely didn't FEEL like Halo. Infinite stands to fix all of that. Art direction borrows MASSIVELY from the first game mostly, and things like the music style, character and vehicle designs (especially Chief) are all a return for form from classic Halo 1 through 3. It also promises to be a more open, mysterious, and overall awe-inspiring game, like the first game was and opposite from the absurdly linear nature of Halo 5's "corridors > battle area > corridors > battle area, rinse repeat" setup. What is still unknown is just how multiplayer will turn out. Being that 343 has dropped most of their changes for art style, music, etc. in favour of a more classic take, a lot of fans are hoping they do the same with the gameplay, especially multiplayer, and do away with things like armour abilities (jetpacks and promethean vision especially), loadouts (Halo was always about equal starting weapons which also encouraged movement around the map to find a better weapon), sprint (I mean, press a button to go a little faster while being unable to shoot? In a first person SHOOTER? Just increase the normal movement speed a bit for crying out loud), and things Halo 5 did like ground pound, spartan charge, sliding, hovering in mid air while scoping in with your weapon, and thruster packs. Halo was all about guns, grenades, and melee. No gimmicks. Halo 3 had "equipment" like a bubble shield and throwable shield drainer, but they were all 1 time use items which had to be found/picked up on maps, and required at least SOME skill and technique to use efficiently at the right time; and you had to fight for them to keep them out of the other team's hands. It made things more interesting and more fun, definitely more intense. So if you missed stuff like that when going back to the original trilogy of games, you may be disappointed with Infinite. At least, I HOPE you may... if they finally listen to feedback, which so far it looks lile they have been.

At best, its just a neat parallel. 2) The UrDidact is composed. No one knows where he is and he most likely will not appear in this game. There is no way an ONI facility can hold him. 3) The Primordial is dead, he died in Halo Primordium, the second book in the Forerunner trilogy novels, and Sgt. Johnson will most certainly not be in the game since he also died in Halo 3. I wouldn't expect Atriox to be in this game since it would require a lot of book to bring players up to speed on who he is and why he leads a new Covenant. I would love for 343i to surprise me however. You should also temper your expectations, everybody said that Halo 5 had the potential to be the best Halo game ever and that was dogshit.
