Hi Brian, it was me that made the comment about suffering/sweating in the sun. I realised afterwards that it might have seemed like a bit of a nasty dig, it certainly wasn't meant that way. It's your choice where you live, and I've no complaints whatsoever.
@@alanparkinson549 I didn’t take offence with your comment, don’t worry. Your comment is still there as far as I know. There was a nasty comment made which I took offence with and I deleted it. Best wishes
Hey Jacob. It was a real pleasure meeting you both and chatting. Really interesting. Thanks for taking the time to talk. I found Ellie’s tictok channel and it’s the first one I followed. I shall start putting some videos up and exploring it as a platform. I really hope you both had a wonderful holiday. I certainly did but I’m not liking the temperature now I’m home lol
Hi Brian, Whilst I wish and hope your planned move to Cyprus exceeds your expectations as an expat returned to the UK I'd like to share my experiences. - I Lived in Tenerife for 3 years. - I got what can only be described as island sickness, it was too small, every day was groundhog day. The reason I came back to the UK was my wife was unwell and didn't fancy going blind in a place where English wasn't the first language (Glaucoma sufferer). Coming back to the UK we were entitled to nothing, zilch, zero. That's after just 3 years away (they ignored the previous 30 years contributions). If you do go check everything out, particularly if you have to return. For example at the time I lived in Tenerife, should a husband die, his portion of the estate didn’t pass to the wife free of death duties (they were to us excessive, they taxed the dead not the living). I used to go fishing on a beach alongside many widows too whom I gave whatever I caught, I was fishing for pleasure, they were fishing to eat.
Hi Brian, was good to meet you today, surprised that I saw you in Carlisle today
