Jay, I hope you know how much your guide and videos have helped with planning my trip to Paris. The Wallace Fountains in this video are just one small example of little things adding up to a big contribution. I suspect that when I get back your vlog will be even more meaningful, so, thanks so much for this channel.
Eeey! First Again! So much to see! Thanks for telling us about the water fountains (and cold H2o too!). Also the wine bottles/recycling... it would be startling if you heard a cacophony of glass breaking early morning, good to know. Cannot wait to find out what's being done at your living space (I'm nosey). Another great video, wundebar!
Wondered through the Bastille market last week; All the fish you could possibly want. And scarves, hand bags, fruit and veggies, hot food, soup to nuts. More importantly, found a terrific bar where the vendors gatherer after work. A lovely dog named Leenda or so the cook helpfully offered, when we took over petting duties. It sounds like that, but probably is something else, because it was a guy dog. Tables full of tired working people, getting some food and drink, and happily telling stories and catching up with their mates. Gawd, what a wonderful place.
I love spotting places that we've been by on our visits....we definitely walked past Le Cafe Des Chats. We were moving over to a bar La Fée Vert in the 11th. It was listed as a belle epoque era establishment the specialized in absinthe. Who knew we were so close to such tasty coffee at Paul et Rimbaud.
Heya My Boy JAY! Thanks for recommendations. Great Video series. Heading to Paris this for a Daddy Daughter Holiday all the way form South Africa. Cant wait to check out all your recommendations.
The 11th definitely feels like a Parisian’s Paris to me. Good to see the Bataclan. I saw Three Doors Down and Seether there. It’s super hard to think about November 13, 2015. There were several restaurants in the 10th that were affected, too. “Affected.” I guess “attacked” is more accurate... I’m glad the Bataclan has reopened and may such things never happen again. ✌🏼
Love that there is some BBQ there. My husband makes good BBQ and we are in Washington 👍🏻 I'm so excited to try French food and all the other kinds of food, too ❤
Will make sure to visit Paul et Rimbaud in July! I went to the cat cafe last year and it was great. It is super clean and the cats are adorable. The food was good too.
If anyone is visiting Paris in the next couple of months or so I highly recommend the Atelier des Lumieres in Rue Saint Maur. They currently have a digital art exhibition on Van Gogh which is AMAZING. Totally immersive. Just down the street from St Ambroise. My friend & I had lunch in that park afterwards.
I love how you just wonder around and explore! Can’t wait to see the markets. Glad you didn’t put the bbq target on your back!😂 Thank you for the water tip. Have a Wonderful Day!!
My Neighborhood. I stayed at a lovely Airbnb at Rue Saint-Maur. Great beer store nearby. Very quiet place. Awesome pizza and you definitely must go see the Van Gogh show at Atelier Des Lumières before is over. I want to be back 😭😫😢
I was going to mention Atelier des lumières. It was recently featured on the BBC Travel Show. If I get to Paris this year, I'll be going there. I so want to walk around in a Van Gogh painting.
@@hazelhoyte7668 Well, is a little bit more than that. They did an amazing job not only recreating the painting but animating certain details of the painting bringing it up to life. Is a really immersing experience, and the music is breathtaking. The only distracting part was quite frankly the people, particularly a few kids running around making noises. I don't understand why people take little kids to these kinds of shows.
@@JaySwanson Oh, yes. Please do it. I'm so glad that I was able to see the show after the big disappointment in Amsterdam where I couldn't get to the Van Gogh museum because all tickets for the day were sold out... I was like, what? very sad. But a good excuse for coming back to Amsterdam =) Definitively Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists of all time.
Another great video Jay!! I'm leaving for Paris tomorrow afternoon (for 1 week) of a much needed vacay, so your videos are fantastic and so timely!! I can't thank you enough for all the hard work and effort you're putting into these. Thanks a million. Also looking forward to see what you have in store for the 12th Arr. bc that's where I'll be staying!
The 11th will be my home for a week next month! I'm happy I won't have to go far for great food, drink, and nightlife, plus all the nontouristy things to go see.
Thanks for the tips 😄 I was looking forward for this one. I’ll be staying in the 11th. I will try le Paul Rimbaud and when I’ll be missing my cats I’ll go to the le café de chats 🐱
I am missing vlog day in a life of Jay but really loving 20/20. Cat cafe - well if I want cat hair in my coffee I get that for free at home 😹 ohhh rotisserie poulet always reminds me of French vacations as a child
I am currently doing my best to learn some French, maybe that's why the following got my attention in this video... You insert the name of something on the screen in the beginning of the video. I really digged that!!! Because, as we all know, French is mostly not written as it is pronounced 🙈🙉🙊🤓 is there a chance you could do that more often s'il vous plait?
I booked a return trip to Paris this fall and I booked my airbnb in the 11th. The last time I stayed in Le Marais, which was great, especially since I had never been and it was so close to all the stuff you would want to see. This time I will not be doing much of the standard site seeing, but I am starting to regret not booking an aibnb in Montmarte. I only spent a little time there last time, but I loved it. Did I make a mistake booking in the 11th and should I rebook for Montmarte? Or is the 11th cool for a trip mostly spend just doing cafes and hanging out while still getting that good old Parisian feel? I'm too indecisive. i
Le street art de Paris est fascinant ! Par contre, le Bataclan fait vraiment peur et provoque des réflexions pas mal tristes.. mais bon. Merci quand même ! Paris is always Paris. It's beautiful! Where is your scooter or how it's called that rolling gadget?
Jay, I was going to send you some Juanitas chips but Amazon won't send them to Paris :(. They are my favorite too and PNW made! I'll bring some with me next time I come to Paris. Can you do a vlog about shopping at the grocery? Maybe a local vs. carrefour? I always get the weirdest looks when I am trying to check out...maybe because I am a tourist (for Oregon) and can't figure the tax in my head?
Oh man, thank you for trying but that would have been the most expensive Juanitas chips ever haha - as for grocery shopping, here you go: ruclips.net/video/9B8X6Yj3-m8/видео.html
Are humans allowed at the cat’s cafe Jay? And do they serve also other than just cat’s food, or portions rather, since the food is probably magnifique anyways? 🥰

Aw, thank you for saying so! I hope your trip is PHENOMENAL 😁😁😁😁
I stayed at a hotel steps away from intersection of Oberkampf and Parmentier back in November. Very vibrant area. Lots of energy.
Great spot to go out =D

Since watching your blogs i've been drinking so much more coffee :) anyway great vlog as usuall, this 20/20 concept is really fun!
The delicious coffee effect haha
I did an Airbnb in the 11th. Loved the area, so much good food...but as a Texan I was afraid to try to BBQ, looks like I missed out.
Oh man - Melt is a lifesaver for BBQ cravings ha

HOLY ARTWORK!!!! You showed us some incredible art in the 11th!!! WOW
Lots of great stuff around there =D
I lived in the 11th for years, rue St Maur. You may notice that I'm really missing Paris... 🇫🇷☮️💪🏽👀👍🏽☮️🇫🇷

I really wanted to make it but it didn't feel like it really fit with the series. Soon though =D
Have tickets for the Van Gogh exhibition Oct 6th. This is the reason for my first trip to Paris. Jay I have learned so much from you! Thank you!
The 11th was my favorite place to hang for wine/food at night when we visited last September! Septime La Cave especially
It's a wonderful neighborhood =)
I Love that you can wander around Paris everyday and discover something new! Great job on this 20 in 20 Series!

Eating BBQ and living in Paris, now that's what I call a win-win!
Amen!
On my First time in Paris I ended up on the 11th by pure chance (Airfare/Hotel convo ), Loved it!! Thanks for the Memories!!.
I'm kinda addicted to these videos. Can you recommend good areas to live in Paris? I'm trying to plan out my stay and I need recommendations.
I wrote about where I'd stay and why pretty extensively in my guide if you'd like to grab a copy bit.ly/ParisVloggersGuide

Where’s the Kickstarter to create a Jay 👾 space invader to be slapped on one of Paris’ walls? I’d be on board for that. 😊
Haha - that's a dream right there

Love your 20/20 arrondissement series a lot! Thank you so much! Will watching all your France videos! 😍

Mocha with a little bit of raspberry is what I'd order.
Sounds tasty to me
Ah man, to have your life 😍

Stayed in the 11th for my first time in Paris. I enjoyed it, great video!
Foodie heaven in the 11th.

My second comment- but I had to- you have over 29,000 subscribers! It was just over 28K last time I noticed (recently)! I love it!
Thanks! It's really cool to see the channel keep growing =)
