I was watching your videos for weeks because I planned to come to Paris. And today just randomly as I was in the metro I saw you on the street filming. I recognize you. Paris is small. 😆
If Jay will permit me a few extra details! Inside the lovely Gare de Lyon is the Galérie des Fresques (the Fresco Gallery) which contains some stunning paintings of the destinations served from the train station. The Gare de Lyon was the Paris terminus of the Paris, Lyon, Mediterranean railway (before nationalisation) - you get the picture - some of most glorious railway destinations in France wonderfully illustrated on the walls of the Galérie - well worth popping in. Bang opposite the station is the restaurant L'Européen with its hall of mirrors interior somewhere between Art Nouveau and Art Déco - it's quite the Parisian dining experience especially if you like seafood (try the oysters).
When you were on top of the old train station line (?) the trees were blowing and it felt like you would get a cooling rain... (that's what it does here right before it rains). I love that I could see the tops of the buildings (so beautiful!), some with enviable terraces, ooh la la sighhh. Liked the shops underneath the arches beneath also. I am still fascinated by the "Wallace fountains" you mentioned before in another arrondissement, how would I have ever found out about that without your vlog? Reading outside in a beautiful spot, priceless- in Paris, triple priceless :) I will not be surprised a bit to find out someday that you own the top floor of beautiful buildings in Paris. Like everyone that lands here, I am loving this 20/20 series, Merci beaucoup!

Man, how thrilled i was to watch your video of the 12th district. And especially the parkway similar to that in New York. I was hooked when you mentioned books as you walked thru’ that bamboo alley! I’m off to Paris next spring so your videos will be high on my list to watch and take notes of from now. I have actually been to Paris 14 times! Since 1982. Yes, ‘82. But I still have not had enough of it and enjoy seeing what others have come to see and show what I have never seen. Paris, like New York, London and any other large cosmo city well is worth returning to again and again. Thanks for sharing your 20 Aronndisments. So it seems while we were in France recently we missed you everywhere you were just about by a day while doing your 20 in 20. We also just went to Lyon - I'm sure you have been already - but if not - definitely visit The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière. It was awesome. And that view of the city from there was pretty great, too.

The Picpus Cemetery is supposed to be cool, and my personal favorite of the 12th le Marché d'Aligre and all the food stores around it. And as for a cool old fashioned restaurant try Le Charolais. It's going to be my hood, at least for the first month.
General de Lafayette is buried there. Wikipedia : The cemetery is of particular interest to American visitors as it also holds the tomb of the Marquis de Lafayette (1757-1834), over which an American flag is always present. Every Fourth of July, members of the DAR, the Society of the Cincinnati and U.S. embassy officials gather at Lafayette's tomb for a celebration.
Jay! I saw a comment on a past 20in20 video lauding your updated spring 2019 guide. The version I have is the fall 2018 guide. Is there some way to get the updated version (assuming it exists) or do I need to purchase the guide again?
