  • The Canyons Side was struggling for years even when they combined with Park City with arguably their biggest congestion spot: Tombstone; because for Canyons side skiers especially, Tombstone was the only way out of a large portion of terrain that most of it would either filter down to that lift or via Timberline. In 2019, a new lift called Over & Out, promised to solve many of the botttleneck issues was built from the base of Tombstone to an area just above the top of Sunrise lift where you can take Raptor Way to directly access the base whereas before, you’d take Tombstone then either take Saddleback/Short Cut or download the Red Pine Gondola. This lift is a fixed-grip SkyTrac quad but with a ride time of about 6-7 minutes, it is more than a welcoming addition to a critical spot on the mountain that needs crowd control. I know this lift will set the stage for more future direct lift replacement and/or realigning because as a PC local myself, the lift system at the canyons side is a mess with how many runs require 2-3 lifts to lap, but this lift is certainly such a big help in regards to that!

"You couldn't wait three or four more seconds before stopping the lift, that way I could get off?!"

It lasted like 1-2 minutes and during that, it did the bump-start which was so annoying. Check it out
