    I've watched every single one of your videos & learned so much. I get excited when I get a notification on my phone that let's me know you've uploaded a new video. I love the fact that you are a professional saddle maker & still take the time to make videos for beginners. I hope someday I can take a trip & visit your shop. Thank you Mr. Cheaney for sharing your passion with us.

    Excellent video .
    My question is once the paper template is scratched over is it then ripped?

    • @cheaneysaddles
      @cheaneysaddles  5 лет назад +1

      You can re-use the pattern many times. You really don't have to press that hard to transfer the pattern onto wet and cased leather. Thanks for asking!

    Hi Bruce, great video as always. Is the tap off made from leather? Any tutorials on making a tapoff?

    • @cheaneysaddles
      @cheaneysaddles  8 лет назад +1

      Yes the tapoff is made of leather. Just carve your design into leather and let it dry out then use it as a tapoff pattern. Bruce

    Thank you very much for making these videos! I'm new and learning a lot from them. How wet or dry should the leather be for stamping?

    • @cheaneysaddles
      @cheaneysaddles  8 лет назад

      Fairly damp leather not to wet though. Happy New Year!

    I am just starting to try leather works...my swivel knife I just purchased doesn't cut well...do you think it needs to be sharpened?? Or what could be the problem??

    • @cheaneysaddles
      @cheaneysaddles  7 лет назад +1

      Yes, you will have to learn how to polish and hone your swivel knife blade and keep the edge stropped. This will enable you to cut in designs much more smoothly.
