I guess you guys liked the format because the last "Making Moab" video only had two dislikes! So here's the next installment on Fins & Things and Slickrock trails in Moab, Utah. Enjoy! If you're short on time, remember you can adjust the speed with the gear in the bottom left corner of the video. Fancy a fancy eveRide shirt? everide.org/shirts
I watched it twice at work, dosed off part way through. Not because of lack of interest but it was 2 am. I thought video was great. I would have like some where half way through the riders gave opinions of their experience on each trail. Info on comfort, temp outside, what they like about their bike, what they don't, if they had the money what bike they would buy next for a place like MOAB. Not so much for speed but an all around perfect bike.
Man, this looks like such great time my friend. Thank you so so much, Sorry your buddy got hurt, that's not as much fun for him, but he is tough, keeps on going on. Good stuff as always my friend. Keep up the fun videos and have a blessed weekend. In case you ever have any doubts, you still inspire otters to get out and ride, keep doing what you do best my friend. Dale
So fun...what I remember about Slick Rock and Fins when I was there last Sept. was how punishing a lot of those changes were, from sand to gnarly rock ledges. I marveled at how my tires and suspension performed, especially for a 2005 DRZ400S. Did anybody else run into that one super steep boulder on a tight left U-turn? I barely made it up that bad boy!
I appreciate your commitment for getting the shot. I was just there from Connecticut in August, and have been uploading some of my footage. Slickrock is very steep. I had my WR250 with me, but I left the moto in the camper and mountain biked it. It was great, but now watching this, I really want to do it on the moto!
I never rode a dirt bike in Moab, but I did ride the San Rafael Swell in Sept 1995. We set up camp at the base of Temple Mt. My first time riding with my oldest brother and 5 of his riding friends. Got to experience heavy sand, canyons, even a canyon under I 70 west of Green River, UT. I had a Honda 250 XR four stroke, no power on dirt in 3rd gear so stayed in 2nd most of the time. Looks fun. Wish I could ride again but now I have health issues. Thanks for the video.
Loving the longer vids mate. Pretty intense ride! I don't think many people realise how flat a wide angle lens makes things look. Some of that stuff must have been crazy steep. I feel your pain with always having pressure with cameras and getting good shots. Appreciate the effort, COS
Tyler, just found your channel a little over a month ago. Right before you took your month off. I definitely eat up everything that you put out because the editing is so solid and you definitely come off as a a genuine honest person. I can't wait to figure out how to come to one of your rallies.
EverRide !!!! loved the long narrative video, the aerial shots and scenery were great and the goofy fun you have while riding was a laugh. i stumbled across your tutorial videos trying to find different builds and opinions on small ADV / dual sport bikes. love the vids love the channel keep up the great work
Tyler, I REALLY enjoy the "making" videos, perhaps my fav vids to date for actual getting a feel for what its like out there. So much more 'realistic' in the sense of really knowing what went on and how the team were making their way along. It makes me feel a bit as if I was there, and makes me wish I was all the more. I do mini adventures like this with my 12 yr old son, and we always talk of your vids when on the way to and from our riding trails. Ride on!
I have an older WR450 and when it gets hot, I have a valve heat relief trigger near my clutch. It's supposed to help release heat through your valves or something and make it easier to start. And as always, great video. We're riding Sam Houston National Forest tomorrow, I'm stoked.
Tyler I dig these full length videos. Yes the polished final product is good! But watching this reminds me of actual riding with friends instead of it feeling like a promo video. The laughs and fist bumps and all that, just like being there.
Haha! I remember that first big drop on Fins! I rode in Moab for the first time in 2019, and was not expecting that drop. Saw it drop into nowhere, locked up the brakes, and just fell over! It was crazy steep. Ended up going down and it was fine, but if you aren't expecting it, it will catch you by surprise!
I'm pretty sure that I went into neutral when I was bobbing my head and I was like nuuuuuu! Either that or I was force crop-dusting. As of like last week, my foot is finally pain free. My shoulder is...off and on but getting better with glucosamine and stretching. By the way, this is Curt.
Tyler : Another nice video. Really love the colors. I used to ride with a guy that had a 450x he always had issues with it starting after it got hot. We even had to tow him. Turns out it was the valves.
Thanks for the heads-up on Moab theft. These are things rarely heard and it's good info for people heading there from far away places. Perhaps a future vid on precautions one should take when traveling to ride. Thanks for all you do.
i know i keep raving about the scenery tyler but it looks amazing! it is SO on the bucket list right now lol. i would much prefer to be riding it though and not running the track like that girl was....
looks fun! Hope you guys know how important "pot holes" are to wildlife and that we shouldn't ride through them if we can avoid it. I only mention it because i noticed it in the video a couple times. Keep it rubber side down, and have a good rest of your summer sir!
Enjoyed this. Slick rock was originally developed for motorcycles. I've ridden both MTB and motorcycles. Fun stuff! 25 ish minutes on the steep part: I saw a guy crash there on his mountain bike and got a flight for life helicopter ride out.
Look at all the happy people!!!!! That was so much fun! I wish I would have known that drone was a flyin' close by, I would have laid it on the beans tried to look cool like Curt! lol Great commentary bud, it was so fun to watch! Double thumbs up!!
This was AMAZING MAN, loved the style of this long video with commentary! I need to watch more of your videos... I really want to get into riding, just dont have a bike ATM. I think i could be good at it and it just looks like a TON OF FUN!!! (The Snow Capped Mountains in the background was also SICK!)
Tyler. Every time you do a Moab video, its like I have a big heart ache feeling. I will not deny that I am in love with Moab, Utah. And yea.... we just take our Jeeps out on the trails and park them. LOL If I ever make it out that way with my Jeep, you will need to take it on the trail. Its a whole different kind of offroading. On the "right" trail, it can be mentally draining.
I do like the long narrated vids. Did the warmup loop on Slickrock last year on my XR400... Crazy stuff, but after a few days in Moab, it doesn't seem so crazy...
Hey Tyler, I really enjoyed this video. I seem to have missed it in the past, but it was very enjoyable. I hope we can ride together again once I get back from Alaska. Take care and God Bless.
Really do enjoy sitting down and watching these videos bro. I’ve got a serious itch to buy a WR250R as my fist off road bike. Been street riding for a little while but I really, seriously have been wanting to get in to DS riding. Ugh... I want a damn bike already...
Tyler..little leaver above the clutch is a "hot start" not a decompression leaver. Use it after bike is at operational temp. It should help you start the X, I believe it leans the fuel but you should get confirmation on that before you pass it on haha great vids ! I miss my 450 and hope to get another one soon...ish...ride on
Yo man you going up Slick Rock is the smoothest that I've seen you ride! Good work!! And the gravel braaaap at the end of Slick Rock by your crazy-pantsed compadre was sick 🤙👌
Loved your video Tyler, we would get along extremely well, I'm nerdy and Goofy when I ride also, and I'm no better than you are for sure but I do have a lot of fun!
With my crf450x if you give it a few blips of throttle before starting helps . Also check the diaphragm thing in the carburetor I had a old one of them in my carburetor and my bike was stalling all the time when I would give it a blip of the throttle, put a new one in and fixed the problem
Hey just happened on your videos while watching some some TW 200 vids. I enjoyed the running commentary and you guys made good pace through some tough terrain. Interested in seeing you do some trail guides as well as perhaps some thematic vids.
Haaaahhh!! "Cluster Cuddle", awesome. I've always thought of you as a Jerk Passer. ;) At least as you are going through a berm you don't continually catch your footpegs on large bushes as is my S.O.P. This is such a great format, fun.
My fall at around 44min.... bahahahahahahahahaha derp. Sorry again Curtis! EVERYONE FROM THE TRIP: LOVE YOU GUYS and I've been practicing. We'll do it again soon.
I know this is an old video, but what kind of bark busters does Curt have on his bike? I like the way they are attached as well as the little mirrors in them.
I’d love to ride out there but I live in Vermont! Check out ccc of Duel sport of Vermont: Cavendish ride! It’s beautiful as well! More tar and dirt road, some class 4 roads! Just getting back into this at 52 years old! EXR 400 for now! Thought I was going to get back into road riding but I took a hard left and here I am! I love it! That was a great vid nice to see a bunch of guys have a great time! Sounds like some of you guys have a desk jobs LOL! If I hurt my ankle it would haunt me for months being a Carpenter! Anyway Eride Your videos are awesome right on my friend! Cheers from Vermont!
If you are having hot start problems on the crf X and R models most likely it is the intake valves. They are titanium and have problems stretching. It also could be you jetting or carb cleanliness.
f2rder - a hard start when cold could be the valves needing to be shimmed or the head rebuilt. Mine always started easier at that point once it was hot.
Im heading to St George Utah around the 4th of November im hoping I could meet you and other dual sport riders out there. Been watching you videos for the last couple years helped me out alot. I don't ride with any group have yet to do any kind of rally. Anyways It would be awesome to run into you out there let me know if thats possible.
I can explain the Jeep thing, I ride a dual sport and drive a jeep. although ive only had the jeep in moab. Because we go so slow, hence "rock crawling" we normally stop to let bikes go by. I cant say why the red jeep at the bottom of the obstacle stopped but the groups you passed stopped to let you go by for safety. Fins n' things is one of my favorit jeep trails of all time not just moab. Hopefully the next time i make it down ill bring the bike to looks like a blast!!

eveRide ADV bro, use the hot start to start in the heat. Little lever on the left.
The hot start makes it easier Tyler.
Great video! I watched the entire thing at work... don't tell anyone!
I watched it twice at work, dosed off part way through. Not because of lack of interest but it was 2 am. I thought video was great. eveRide ADV Hi EveRide I love your content what do you think about Yamaha xt 600e ? Does it even exist in USA? I have few videos with it.
This video is so much fun. I've watched it like 5 times already. More please! Just like this.
11:30 love the desert drone shot with the snow caps in the background good grief that is cool!!!
I love the randomness and dorky ideas blurted out, because that's me. All the time. At work, dinner, riding...whenever
Man, this looks like such great time my friend. Thank you so so much,
Sorry your buddy got hurt, that's not as much fun for him, but he is tough, keeps on going on.

I had to come back and watch this one again. Looked like such a fun ride on incredible trails!
So fun...what I remember about Slick Rock and Fins when I was there last Sept. was how punishing a lot of those changes were, from sand to gnarly rock ledges. Please do more of these formats. Out of all the videos I see on youtube, fishing....how to...adventures...anything...you've got the best one by far!!

I like the video and the commentary. Learning alot about filming and drones and how beautiful your riding areas are.
EverRide !!!!
loved the long narrative video, the aerial shots and scenery were great and the goofy fun you have while riding was a laugh.

Brap-in good with the BROS. Thanks for sharing the ingredients… to a great time !! WR250R rider here . Around Bend Oregon out!

We're riding Sam Houston National Forest tomorrow, I'm stoked.
Don’t be afraid to show your goofyness or nerdyness just be yourself. I’m sure everyone else would want it that way too. Anyway love the video ❤️
Tyler I dig these full length videos. Yes the polished final product is good! But watching this reminds me of actual riding with friends instead of it feeling like a promo video. The laughs and fist bumps and all that, just like being there.
Great fun watching you all ride.
better then NETFLIX, what amazing production, brother, a big hug for you. thx.
Haha! I remember that first big drop on Fins! I rode in Moab for the first time in 2019, and was not expecting that drop. Saw it drop into nowhere, locked up the brakes, and just fell over! the motovlog chatter while you are riding is fantastic!
Yes sir like this format. Loved riding slickrock an poison spider.
I still don't get how you don't have over 100k subs. This is the best moto channel.
What a classic! I love these old eveRide videos!
Tyler : Another nice video. Really love the colors. I used to ride with a guy that had a 450x he always had issues with it starting after it got hot. We even had to tow him. Turns out it was the valves.

Hi crosstraining enduro
Beautiful adventure with a great crew 🏆🦾😎
looks fun! Hope you guys know how important "pot holes" are to wildlife and that we shouldn't ride through them if we can avoid it. I only mention it because i noticed it in the video a couple times. Keep it rubber side down, and have a good rest of your summer sir!
Jeeps never move... LOL! They probably were kind enough to let your team pass, because they know you are faster :D Cool video by the way.
I like this format! Thanks for the entertainment.
Enjoyed this.
Slick rock was originally developed for motorcycles. I've ridden both MTB and motorcycles. Fun stuff!

That's some beautiful landscape
Awesome video man. Makes me wanna be back there that much more. me and my brother and a few buddies will be out there next week. I can't wait

LOL If I ever make it out that way with my Jeep, you will need to take it on the trail. Its a whole different kind of offroading. On the "right" trail, it can be mentally draining.
36:03 is an actual cinema effect called a dolly zoom. They use it a lot on super dramatic face shots.
I do like the long narrated vids. Did the warmup loop on Slickrock last year on my XR400... Crazy stuff, but after a few days in Moab, it doesn't seem so crazy...
That's a bucket list item for sure !! I live in NY and just bought a 2018 CRF250L. This was an awesome video. Thanks for posting it
Cluster cuddle. My new favorite phrase.
Love this format, keep doing them.
This one was more entertaining to watch then the last one, now I want more :)
Greta video, looks like a ton of fun.
I wish i lived in Utah. I be riding bikes every day, Beautiful landscape.
I have ridden that trail 5 or 6 times on mountain bikes over the years. I just got a DR-Z and cant wait to try it with some actual horse power.
keep up with this format! love it!!
Hey Tyler, I really enjoyed this video. I seem to have missed it in the past, but it was very enjoyable. I hope we can ride together again once I get back from Alaska. Take care and God Bless.
Great video, would love to spend some time in Moab but don’t know where to start
That drone footage is dope! Thanks for the vid man.
Awesome vid ! Watched every minute...

Love the Moab Trails.

Love your stuff man, please keep putting out the great content.

What an awesome ride!!
Lovely back view mirror
Beautiful country for riding.
Yo man you going up Slick Rock is the smoothest that I've seen you ride! Good work!! And the gravel braaaap at the end of Slick Rock by your crazy-pantsed compadre was sick 🤙👌
amazing footage!
great fun looking ride.. good vid man
"Cluster cuddle"-?! Lol. It also sounded like you were channeling Beavis at times too. Looks like fun!
Loved your video Tyler, we would get along extremely well, I'm nerdy and Goofy when I ride also, and I'm no better than you are for sure but I do have a lot of fun!

very cool!!! i loving it!! keep doing this videos, they make me want to go and ride!
Such a BEAutiful video!!! cameras do smoothen all the rocky surfaces and the elevation as well i totally agree my cameras do that as well!
Love the drone video
I know this is an old video, but what kind of bark busters does Curt have on his bike? I like the way they are attached as well as the little mirrors in them.
I would need advil ,Percocet and a week in bed to recover from a ride like this.. another great video ..
I’d love to ride out there but I live in Vermont! Check out ccc of Duel sport of Vermont: Cavendish ride! It’s beautiful as well! More tar and dirt road, some class 4 roads! tyler. do you guys ever do st George to vegas rides? a good friend of mine does it all the time and it looks like a lot of fun.
Awesome video !!!
use the hot lever to start it, Ive never had a problem, and run engine ice in the CRFX
Cluster cuddle ? Lol that's a great way to say it 😆🤔😆
The landscape stands on its own, even without a motorcycle in the shot 😂😂😂 are you sure? 🤣🤣🤣
Love the video man keep it up!!

Nice job.
enjoyed watching. thanks
Good job. I like it.
I likem!!!!! ..... I also love when you rock the "CHAN CHAN!"
I do enjoy the long form videos. I always hate cutting so much good film out just to make a standard short video.
Enjoyed that mate thank u👍
Only 11 comments??? Go on with this stuff it's feels not so "commercial"... Nice one thanks!!!
hey , are you ever worried about a cougar running up on ya when your workin the drone ?is there any way to be safe about it?
