  • We spent a day in the life with a local in Ipoh, Malaysia - trying home cooked Malaysian food and white coffee with our Malaysia travel guide, Ben. Ben has lived in Ipoh for decades and can give us a taste of Ipoh in a way that only a local can! If you're looking for an underrated place to visit in Malaysia, Lonely Planet recently ranked Ipoh on their top 10 "Best in Asia" list. Ipoh is most famous for its signature Ipoh White Coffee and great Malaysian street food. Yet when most people visit Malaysia, they think of Penang and Kuala Lumpur - in today's video, we hope we've done some justice to Ipoh's chill vibes and amazing people. The home cooking dinner includes Malaysian food, Chinese food, and Indian food, as follows
    1. Malay Curry Chicken
    2. Pig Trotter with Vinegar
    3. Ginger Steamed Tilapia - fresh caught!
    4. Chicken He Fen Noodle in Soup
    5. Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken - the signature dish of Ipoh

If a Malaysian invited you to their place, what's one dish you would like them to make for you?
