I feel like I'm not even nearly doing justice to my 90D with the videos we're making so I'm here to get some pointers and take our videos to the next level!
My favorite Canon 90D feature is the 4K@24, even though it's likely an upscaled lower detailed 4K than most cameras have. The color straight out of the camera makes up for it, and honestly, my friends who watch my videos claim the image looks crisp. This likely illustrates how few people are going to tell the difference between something like 2.7K and 4K since almost everyone watches these videos on devices that range between mobile screens and computer screens that will automatic play them at 1080p. A tip regarding the time-lapse feature: as great as it is for longer time-lapses, if you're on the go and you don't want to sit for 10-30 minutes waiting for the camera to snap a bunch of images in succession, just shoot a 2-minute video, take one minute and forty seconds of it, and speed it up 1000% in post to get a 10-second time-lapse. The math of course works out to 10 seconds of filming for every 1-second of time-lapsed footage you end up with.
I just got my 90d for my bday as an upgrade from a t6, and omg. Its night and day. Ive only barely scratched the surface. Ill be binging on the rest of the series.. ✊🏾

I got the M6 Mark ii instead of this one ( mainly because I already EF-M lenses) but the only 2 features I’m jelly of on the 90D is the headphone jack and that 4Kmovie crop mode. I actually like the additional 4K crop on the Canon M50 to reach more distance in some shots.

LOVE.the 90D. I don't understand all the hate. Gorgeous images (photo AND video) and I like Canon's menu system. I guess I'm just not the cool kid for switching to mirrorless.
While 4K cropping mode does crop, its purpose is to provide a higher quality 4K video. It has a 10 minute limit because it runs hotter. If I am using 4K and dont mind the crop and can fit my clip in 10 minute window, I shoot 4K cropped.
Thanks for the information I just used your link to buy a couple sd cards for my new 90d. I get the lens tomorrow and the sd cards will arrive tomorrow as well according to Amazon... wish me luck. Can’t wait to try it out!!!
The 90D actually supports UHS-II cards and I've been able to actually detect much faster write times using a Lexar 2000 UHSII card for example, compared to the card you used in the video.
Hi! I have a question. I’m streaming form my canon 90d. Do you know how to disable the option to turn off the camera? I did it one in the wrench option but it keeps turning off while I’m in the meeting.
Enjoyed your video thank you. My only issue is when you talk about the cameras mic, you say it's pretty good then give us a demo. BUT you put it through audio post which gives a false hearing of what it's like.

I noticed the thumbnail had the Sigma 17-50 2.8 on the camera. I am having soft focus issues with my copy of that lens with the 90 D. Do you know of any fixes?
Hi. I've just bought an Eos90D, but my menu doesn't have all the options that are available on yours. I'm in the UK, is the Eos90D spec different in the USA? Or do these options change when updating the camera as you have suggested? Many thanks.

Hi can you help me. When I plug an external monitor into my Canon 90d, the camera monitor switches off, so I am unable to have them both operating at the same time. Can you suggest something to rectify this please. Michael.
If I were to buy the 22mm EF-M pancake lense for an APS C crop sensor camera like the M50, would I be getting 22mm or do I get 33mm (multiplying by 1.5). I assumed that if it was being sold with an EF-M mount as a 22mm lense then it should do 22mm but i am unsure.
Hi mate, great video. Regarding the 90D 24 fps rate after updating the Firmware to Ver 1.1.1, are you aware you only get this rate (actually 23.98 fps) in NTSC mode and not in PAL mode???? Since I am in Aus we only use PAL here and not NTSC! I queried Canon Australia on where the 24 fps rate was for PAL and all they did was to give me the 90D Advanced User Manual page number (pge 290) that covers the video frame rates and by reading through the various pages deduced that it is not available in PAL video settings at all - go figure! Also don't try to search for NTSC or PAL in this manual's (some 640 pages) search function as it returns NOT FOUND for both!!!! Appreciate your comments on the above when convenient, please. Try doing a read/write test on that SD card. The bitrate on the 4K mode on these new canon cameras is 120mbs. I got a 170MB read/ 90MB write speed SD card and I’ve recorded up to 17 min of 4K.
@@mirrorlessmemory nice. I actually only used the 4k the first day during my review vlog. So that was prior to the firmware updates. I'll have to try again.
I cant see changes happening in Live view MOde...Just cant figure what I'm doing wrong. Just bought mine today and it had already the firmware update and its 25fps in 4k

Enhanced is meant to mimic a tripod shot of a static subject when going handheld. It’s not meant to move around, you’ll get a jello effect.
What SD card I need...Literally the only thing I searched for and was nice to see it mentioned in less than 10 seconds into the video. Thanks.

Nice. The 4K crop mode is awesome as it’s a crisper version of the fake 4K, than regular mode.

That’s odd... how many ads played before ether video? Should never be more than one...

Canon crop factor is 1.6, this lens will be a 35.2mm

My card is a U3, but at 150MB/s, 1000x. It's not quite fast enough for more than a few minutes of 4k.
