    From the Publisher:
Hive is a highly addictive strategic game for two players that is not restricted by a board and can be played anywhere on any flat surface. Hive is made up of twenty-two pieces, eleven black, and eleven white, resembling a variety of creatures each with a unique way of moving.
With no setting up to do, the game begins when the first piece is placed down. As the subsequent pieces are placed this forms a pattern that becomes the playing surface (the pieces themselves become the board). Unlike other such games, the pieces are never eliminated and not all have to be played. The object of the game is to totally surround your opponent's queen, while at the same time trying to block your opponent from doing likewise to your queen. The player to totally surround his opponent's queen wins the game.

One of the best review of any game I've ever seen - and I watch them a lot. Very interesting and very easy and pleasant to listen, good diction good little story around the game, little history little bit of your opinion.... and you and the whole review look relaxed and very natural and I like that. Overall great job !!!

Thank you :) I’m still figuring out the review system on my channel - this was a much for conversational approach - I appreciate the feedback - it helps me gauge how to do reviews in the future.

Your review is the sole reason that I purchased hive. I'm more of a communal gamer. I think too many competitive games just teach you how to be an asshole (sorry comes to mind) My wife and I love Pandemic and play it probably 6 times a week with the expansion packs. It's the team vs the board. That's more my speed, but your passion in this review made us give it a shot and we love it. It might be stupid, but I feel like the game is me against the other hive instead of another player, even though I know it's the same. It just feels like it's me against the board. Thank you for this review. I have found a new not douchbaggy game and have gifted it out to multiple people. Keep up the good work and never lose your passion!

The price is closer to Hive Pocket than the colored, full size Hive with all expansions because you only need to get one expansion with Carbon and Pocket. It is elegant-looking and the creatures are still distinguishable despite no differentiation in color.

Just learned how to play, for a cost of $10-20 depending on what edition you buy it’s worth every penny. Strategy, depth and or just for simple fun, everyone will enjoy it. Great review

I likewise prefer heavy strategy games over light- to medium-weight ones, but Hive is a strong exception to that rule. This is one of my all-time favorite games for its elegance and perfection. It only gets better with more plays. I've been anxious to try out the Hive Colony fan expansion for quite some time now. Such a solid game. Great video 👍🏼🐝

Well, shoot. Here I thought I was being clever by ordering a very compact, lightweight laser-cut wood version that was only 2/3 the price of Hive Pocket... but now I wonder if it's going to be as durable and just-toss-it-in-your-bag-able as the bakelite. Guess we'll see. Nice video!

My copy of Hive Pocket (along with a deck of cards) goes with us to the beach, the library, our fancy dinners, the mall, etc. You never know when you can find 10-20 minutes to play a game. And it beats everyone staring at their phones every spare minute they have.

What can you do to contribute to a game that's been covered so many times before? Introduce it to more people that are new to the game? Come on dude.
