Berbice river also needs dredging from the approach to Everton EBB, this river is heavy silted up, the last time it was dredged by Bos Kalis in 1984 with a cutter dredge , the only ocean going vessel comes here , is Tradewind Tanker at Guyoil terminal EBB, & the sea defence are over topping, due to shallow drafts .

It’s good that they are all talking about “safety”, but the dredger is Chinese so expect some less than optimal work practices for the dredger crew….
