Know how to mix alginate and take impressions quickly/efficiently.. have fun with the patient and when they get their braces off be happy and celebrate with them!
Thank you so much for this video! I recently finished a dental assisting program and I have my first interview tomorrow at an orthodontic office! I’m so excited 😁
Hello Ash, you can major at a community college if you would like to receive an increased knowledge of Ortho but I know of several Ortho Assistants who didn’t go to college and learned everything they know from the office they worked for and they are amazing assistants. Thanks for your question 👍🏼
@@ashpaniagua5345 Yes I have read the same thing. In California it is required you have a Orthodontic Assistant Permit to work as a Orthodontic Assistant. The rules are different from state to state. This is the information I got from California Dental Board to get you Otho Assistant Permit www.dbc.ca.gov/applicants/become_licensed_dsa_oa.shtml
If you are in the Orthodontics field what other skills or abilities should a Assistant have?

I’ve heard that I have to be certified by the Dental Board of California in order to apply for that position is that true ?
Is there a way that you can help me in like information and knowing how to get there, it would be great if you could ?
