    Getting into the advanced stuff now, I like it!
    Drednaw is in my opinion more important, since you gain xp and a shild, enabling you and your teammates to fight around objective more easily. However if given the chance, I do like to sneak in a Rotum just before the Zapdos spawn. Might only work in lower ranks where I am right now, but it works most of the time if you manage to pull it of.

    Drednaw is so important lol, I would add that as a mid you want to really set up your bot lane to get ahead for that first Drednaw. If both of your lanes are stale then you should be prioritising your bot lane EVERY time after first jungle clear. Even if you don’t get a kill, getting the neutral bees for your team and the Audino is huge.

    A thing about Rotom you forgot to mention. When it is targeted towards your goal, as you deplete its health, the amount of points Rotom counts for decreases.

      Oh there’s another thing about Rotom too! When Rotom reaches the enemy goal, it disables the goal’s healing function for the duration you can insta-dunk. It’s happened to me a couple times where I’d freak out about why it wasn’t healing me lol

  • @vJukeboxx

    Fantastic video Teeds!! Really helpful for those not so experienced in the game!
    Personally, while I do think Drednaw better, I also think the top lane deciding to rotate down 100% of the time is not so cut and dry. If they’re carrying 50 or so points between them, with Rotom that’s usually enough to take out the goal, which will create a lot of pressure, meaning the enemy top laners have to choose between losing a goal which can be very snowbally in terms of map pressure, or losing Drednaw which creates kill pressure in the form of the shield and level difference. This decision to rotate should also depend on the level difference of the bot laners and jungle. If those 3 look like they can get it based on level difference then leaving top lane open could just be pointless.
    Anyway that’s just my 2c worth haha. Keep up the fantastic work!

  • @theshadowdirector

    Dreadnaw's use in the game is for buffing the team in order to score the points that make you win the game, as well as having more power than the opposing team to control them more and for the Zapdos fight. But also, Rotom is not something to be ignored either. I can tell you of at least two games that I managed to kill Rotom right before the 2 minute mark and he stayed even after Zapdos spawned. Since the opposing team and mine were fighting over Zapdos, I managed to score my 100 points + Rotom like a mini-Zapdos buff, and managed to win those two games, one of which the opposing team took Zapdos.
    So in conclusion, Dreadnaw is priority, but Rotom can also come in clutch if used right. Makes me feel like every game can be different and I love it :3

    Small point worth quibbling about: meta is not an acronym.
    Meta, in this case is an abbreviation of metagame. When meta is used as a prefix, it adjusts the meaning of the word to describe a self-referential work in regards to structure. Metadata is data about data, metatextual analysis pertains to choices made about the way a text is written, rather than specific word choice.
    Likewise, the metagame is the sum of the choices and considerations we make about how to play a game outside of gameplay

    Pretty fair analize tho I would say Rotom do much than put pressure it can help you score if you got alot of pokeball vs if you got like 3 pokeball it doesn'T worth much but if you got like 50 that quite a big deal.
    Also I would had that Rotom also keep going for the enemie goal if you killed it before zapdoz spawn So it can be a really good tool to keep the enemie team distracted since you can let one or 2 player push whit Rotom and than you are set for a 120 goal. could be good

  • @AdalHRivera

    The way I see it, Rotom can help push an advantage but is otherwise not really important at all. I've had matches where we beat the enemy to Drednaw and they rotate top to get Rotom as a sort of consolation prize, but even if at best they destroy the top outer goal, the trade-off is that we destroy their bot outer goal AND gain 1-2 levels each, so I always take that trade going top.
    Given that I always aim to secure Drednaw at least twice per match, by the time Zapdos rolls in, my team and I are all 3-5 levels above the opponents and contesting is much easier

      Support main here. You can absolutely send a tank bottom lane. The point of having a tank/support bottom lane is to help protect your lane partner (usually an all-rounder because they scale heavily on XP and need to level for late game, but attackers and even some speedsters can slide in here just fine) so they can gain XP.
      Each Pokemon has a different playstyle though. I main Eldegoss, so I'm trying to keep my lane partner shielded/healed while they do damage down the enemies, tossing in my own poke damage. Snorlax, on the other hand, is a bit of a "lane bully" and I've seen it work well. Snorlax is tanky, can deal decent damage, and can zone people out/block people from an area (such as where Vespiqueen & Combee spawn) to help your partner farm. As a Snorlax, you're really looking to play a little more aggressively and zone people out.
      It's also ok if you wind up having two tanks on your team (one bottom, one top) because you're using Snorlax in the "support" role, even if it's not the "Support" class, if that makes sense.

      @@SleepySeal121 as snorlax you'll generally want to be paired with an attacker pokemon. This is because you'll have both a ranged and melee pokemon in your lane, as well as the fact that attackers are one of the types of pokemon referred to as "carries" that want to gain lots of levels while defenders tend to have less benefit from higher levels.

    Dreadnaw is great in theory but if the enemy comes 4 v 3 bot or 5 v 4 bot and your team stalls out the fight for like 2 minutes (which I've seen happen pretty often) than the players that remained top can get a large exp advantage and crack the map open with Rotom.

    Rotom is easy to beat if you are either a ranged attacker. if you are melee, it takes longer which is why sometimes you might need another person to go against Rotom. Plus he is really good for early points. Drednaw I never go for but he is important depending on how far you are in the match. He is also risky as opposed to Rotom since Rotom is easier to get than Drednaw. But those exps and shields are good. This is all based on my own personal matches and from what I've seen in my matches, but if you see this, be it Teeds, or the community, let me know your opinions!

    • @pedrojr.8893
      @pedrojr.8893 3 года назад +2

      Rotom will never be a better option than drednaw, as pointed out by Teeds, the first 8 minutes is basically preparing for the Zapdos duel or defense. Rotom only gives you 20 points and possibly two goals maybe 3. However, Drednaw exp and shield can help turn a match around even before the broken Zapdos appears.
      In short, you never want 3-5 members going down when Zapdos appears, that 30 second cooldown will more than likely cost you the game.

    • @Brianycus
      @Brianycus 3 года назад +1

      @@pedrojr.8893 Ehhh not really, at least from my experiences from playing matches. Rarely people go for Drednaw and instead go for Rotom to start ranking up for those points. Drednaw is rarely a concern because they go for Zapdos towards the end. Rotom helps to start destroying the goals while you start leveling up for Zapdos. Drednaw also takes very long which is why in most if not all my matches, they don't go for him unless my team or the other team really needs it.

    • @shiinozaki
      @shiinozaki 3 года назад +2

      @@Brianycus This is probably because you're either not in ranked, or are in a low rank. Dreadnaw takes priority, 100% of the time no matter what. The EXP boost it gives is far too important to ignore, and if your team takes Dreadnaw then the enemy's bottom goal is almost always cleared.
      Breaking the top goal gives more exp to the enemy team than breaking the bottom goal does, by the way. Dreadnaw is just always better, and Rotom is only something you go for if Dreadnaw has already been defeated.

      @@shiinozaki I do play ranked and I am currently Expert 1 hahaha so I'm not really a in low rank either. It just seems that my matches don't take Drednaw too seriously and we still end up winning. If its different in other matches, then it is different in other matches. Again, I write what I write based on my own observations of the game, be it true or not.

      Drednaw isn't about the shield - the main advantage is that it gives an EXP boost to the ENTIRE team, not just the ones that were fighting Drednaw. It adds about one level to the whole team. This in turn gives you an advantage against the enemy team in fights, which makes everything easier.

    Meta isn't an acronym lol. It is a prefix that in this case, refers to "higher level" considerations about the game. That is to say, its not about how the game can be played, but how the game is in fact played -- essentially the "rules" of the game the community create for themselves as they try to figure out the most effective way to play the game
