There is soe decent camping around there. I haven't spent a TON of time there but here is a link to a video I made there a while back. Hope it helps. ruclips.net/video/pg3kxH6-D6g/видео.html I think there are also cool mines you can take tours down into.. but I haven't done it myself.
I get that in a way. I find southern UP an Northern UP are very different. Then there is the middle between the two lakes which is different from the lake regions. I think some think more of lake Superior areas as being the True YOOP. lmao Menominee gives more of a Wisconsin feel but looks very much the same as all of southern UP along lake Michigan.
It has been my experience that although we share the majority of things in common, such as a somewhat unusual attraction to the upper peninsula, there are certain things as you move South in latitude, that change in terms of flora, fauna and population. It makes a different vibe that may or may not be worth your time to check out. I love Lake Superior like nowhere else. I have also fallen asleep in a hammock on Lake Michigan in Green Bay, and it was one of the nicest experiences of my life. Go figure.
nice to meet you. Wander~Thanks~ amazing channel!see you later,

We call it "Date Night" when my wife and I go to Costco.

Maybe it's me, maybe it's the video, but Menominee does not have the UP feel. I doubt i'd visit. Great video though!
