Hi again. Weathering, detailing, fitting alternative couplings, etc is all part of the rich tapestry of the hobby. For one person, weathering is essential, and for another it will be detailing. Yet others will be focused on authenticiy of the trains they run, and the scenery/stations etc which they run through.
For many, it's just the pleasure of running trains.

You have weathered well...better than the manufacturer! And the coal looks good 👍 makes it all look much more realistic!

Once gassing, a great job westhering those wagons. Like yourself I don’t want to pay extortionate prices and THT auction house is daylight robbery as I live in Toronto and the prices being charged for postage over here is often more than the cost of the item.
So I take my hat off to you fir raising the topic of silly prices. I am gobsmacked at the prices people are paying and pre ordering. They must all be loaded
The natural sound of the trains lends me to believe you run DC. I too run DC as I wouldn’t be able to afford the cost of chipping my locos plus, my wife would throw me out😂

How about a video showing how you go about weathering your wagons? Would be very interesting and useful.

Thank you for your comment. I attempted a video on weathering and it did not do well at all however, I will take your idea into account and possibly do one later on.
